Looking for a unique day out with the kids? Get ready to transport your family from tropical Singapore to the majestic Swiss Alps! Gardens by the Bay has unveiled its newest floral display, Alpine Adventure, a stunning and immersive recreation of a Swiss summer landscape that is perfect for a memorable family outing.

Running from now until 12 October 2025, this first-ever Swiss-inspired floral display in the Flower Dome features nearly 6,000 plants. More than half of these plants were grown in-house by the Gardens’ talented horticulturists, a feat of nature that brings the wild beauty of alpine meadows to the tropics. This is not just a floral display; it's a creative interpretation of an entire landscape, complete with sweeping fields of snapdragons, geraniums, and petunias.

What to Expect: Alpine Wonders and Swiss Landmarks

Beyond the vibrant blooms, Alpine Adventure is a cultural and historical journey through Switzerland. Your family will be captivated by the incredible recreations of some of the country's most famous landmarks, making it an educational and exciting experience for all ages.

• The Matterhorn: Take a family photo against a dramatic wooden backdrop of the famous Matterhorn mountain.
• A Walking Glacier Express: Step inside a recreation of the world's "slowest express train," the Glacier Express. This 5.5-metre-long cabin with panoramic windows is an immersive experience that will make you feel like you're journeying through the Swiss Alps.
• The Golden Spot: Discover the recreated gold-plated carriage from the historic Gornergrat railway, a perfect photo spot with a rich history.
• Iconic Architecture: Admire recreations of famous Swiss landmarks such as Zurich’s St. Peter’s Church, with its giant clock face, and the Fraumünster church, with its famous stained-glass windows.
• Cultural Touches: Spot adorable Valais blacknose sheep and alpine cows “grazing” in the meadows, and learn about Swiss traditions like papercutting and the alphorn.
