Explore a floral masterpiece at Gardens by the Bay as Tulipmania returns with Dutch art, windmills, and a chance to win flights to Europe.

Venue: Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay
Dates: 24 Apr -17 May 2026, 9 am - 9 pm
Admission: Tickets fees to Flower Dome applies

Tulipmania is back for its 12th edition, and this year, the Flower Dome has been transformed into a living art gallery, blending horticultural beauty with a kid-friendly introduction to world-famous Dutch artists like van Gogh, Rembrandt, and Vermeer.

With over 65,000 tulips across 30 different varieties, the display brings famous paintings off the canvas and into the soil. It is a fantastic way to inspire young minds while enjoying a cool, floral escape from the Singapore heat.

A Journey Through Dutch Art and History

The display is more than just flowers; it is a walk through history. Families can wander through a recreation of the world-famous Rijksmuseum, right in the heart of the conservatory. Inside, you will find reproductions of iconic masterpieces such as Rembrandt’s The Night Watch and Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring.

Kids will be particularly fascinated by the De Kat Windmill. This is a recreation of the world's last working windmill used to grind raw materials into natural pigments—the very same dyes used by the Old Masters to create their famous paintings.

Masterpieces in Bloom

The highlight of this year's show is seeing world-famous artworks recreated using a "tapestry" of different flowers. It is a great "spot the difference" game for kids to compare the floral versions to the original prints!

  • Van Gogh’s ‘The Starry Night’: Look closely to see how the swirling sky is recreated using a mix of calibrachoas, alyssums, pansies, and lobelias.

  • Mondrian’s Modernism: See Piet Mondrian’s famous red, blue, and yellow geometric grids come to life through a precise arrangement of tulips and hyacinths.

  • The Van Gogh Collection: Beyond his night sky, you can also find floral interpretations of Vase with Irises and Imperial Fritillaries in a Copper Vase.

Floral Masterpieces and Unique Blooms

The horticultural team has literally painted Flower Dome with flowers this year. Beyond the art, keep an eye out for these special varieties:

  • Tulipa ‘Kaki’: Named after the local term for "friend," this special tulip symbolises harmony and is the star of the 2026 show.

  • The Tulipiere: A massive, distinctive Delftware vase at the entrance, historically designed to showcase individual tulip bulbs.

  • Unique Hybrids: Discover the 'Virichic' with its green flames and the 'Pretty Princess' with its unique cream-margined leaves.

Win a Family Trip to Europe

Visiting Tulipmania could actually land you a holiday! There are two ways for families to win tickets to Europe via Amsterdam with KLM:

  • Delft Blue Houses Game: Head to the Delft House display, scan the QR code, and answer a few questions to enter the lucky draw.

  • Snap & Win: Capture your best family moment amongst the tulips and share it on Instagram for a chance to win two roundtrip economy tickets.

BYKidO Pro-Tip: Visit on a weekday morning or late afternoon (around 5 pm) to avoid the heaviest crowds. The lighting in the Flower Dome is also beautiful as the sun sets, and you’ll have a much easier time getting those "Starry Night" photos with the kids!
