What’s in Mandai Wildlife Reserve This National Day
This August, Mandai Wildlife Reserve is inviting you to celebrate Singapore in a wilder way with activities happening across its wildlife parks and precincts. Whether you want to explore local produce, meet some of Mandai’s beloved animal personalities, discover Singapore’s native wildlife, or simply soak up the National Day atmosphere, there’s something for you to add to your itinerary. Wild Day Out 2026
One of the highlights is Wild Day Out 2026, returning for its third edition on 8 August 2026 from 10am to 6pm at Mandai Wildlife West.
This year’s “Going Local” theme brings a farmers’ market by the Kranji Countryside Association to Mandai, where you can browse fresh produce from local farms and take part in free educational workshops.
You can also enjoy family-friendly activities including Chingay costume try-ons, craft activities, Chingay-themed experiences and National Day face painting. There’s even a new Dog Playground at the West Lawn, where your furry friends can play, explore and burn off some energy.
Meet the Stars of Mandai
Throughout August, you can also get to know the 11 Stars of Mandai – animal personalities who were born and raised at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve.
Keep an eye out for special keeper talks, “Born-in-SG” storytelling sessions, photo opportunities and limited-edition keepsakes featuring these homegrown animal stars. Some of the lineup includes Ah Meng the Sumatran orangutan, Canola the manatee, Arlo the king penguin, Narnia the binturong and Bayu the Malayan tapir.
If you’re not able to meet with the stars, you can also do Meet & Greet with the stars of Mandai mascots. Happening from 8 to 10 August 2026, say hello to Ah Meng the orangutan, Canola the manatee, Kisala the okapi and Neha the elephant at special National Day mascot meet-and-greet sessions. Snap a photo and celebrate with some of Mandai's most beloved personalities!
Frame Your Wild & Get Exclusive Sticker Sheet

Catch the National Day Parade Watch Party
Want to celebrate National Day with the excitement of the parade? You can join Mandai’s free National Day Parade 2026 Watch Party on 9 August, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, at the entrance of Singapore Zoo.
