The world’s largest event dedicated to air and inflatable installations is coming to Singapore with 17 new monumental and interactive works by leading contemporary international artists.

Balloon Museum presents Pop Air – Art is Inflatable, an interactive exhibition with site-specific installations that spark emotion and play through art, inspiring curiosity and imagination in young and grown-up minds alike.

Not Your Average Balloon Display

This isn't your average balloon display. The Balloon Museum showcases large-scale, immersive installations crafted by talented artists from around the globe.

Between dreamlike worlds and surreal universes, geometric labyrinths and participatory architectures, the exhibition unfolds across more than 6,000 square meters, offering a playful and interactive approach to culture.

The event showcases an extraordinary roster of international artists each offering a unique interpretation of the theme:

  • Cyril Lancelin, with Crazy Love for Polygons, invites visitors to explore and build within a geometric dimension.
  • Italian collective Hyperstudio presents three works — Glowing Ballet, 10 Agosto, and Hypercosmo — exploring the balance between chaos and stillness.
  • Quiet Ensemble inspires wonder with Soft Hurricane and A Quiet Storm.
  • Australian studio ENESS introduces Spiritus Sonata, which evokes the magic of childhood through sound.
  • Karina Smigla-Bobinski creates a direct connection with the viewer through ADA
  • Silenius by Max Streicher is an ephemeral figure crafted from spinnaker nylon, a delicate and translucent material.
  • Digital art is represented by Ultravioletto’s VR experience and ARIA – The Breath Immersive Experience, an infinity room by Pepper’s Ghost.
  • The works of MOTOREFISICO, Pneuhaus & Bike Powered Events, Jimmy Kuehnle, and Rub Kandy encourage active participation, while Filthy Luker’s Goofs — gentle giants — silently observe visitors.

Our Experience and Thoughts

We had the experience to visit the exhibition during the preview period. We REALLY loved the experience and it is such an immersive experience to be enjoyed. Here are something that we noted and think you should know before visiting.

  • Make sure your cameras are fully-charged as you will be taking lots of photos and videos.
  • The space is very interactive with lots of opportunities to touch, move, jump, etc. So do dress appropriately for movements.
  • There are some rooms that are dark and loud that younger ones might be afraid of. We encourage parents to prep them or to hold on to them before entering the rooms. Once inside, allow them to warm up and they will start running around.
  • Adding to the above, we also encourage kids to be parent-accompanied at all times. Watch out for them so that they do not get lost amongst flying balloons, get bumped into by other visitors as they run around, and just for general safety.
  • The ball pit is rather deep, we estimate you need to be at least 1.2m to stand above the balls. Do take note before letting the kids jump straight in.
