We went on a journey with a little girl named Amrita who loved the trees and promised to protect them like how they protected her home from the desert sandstorm (Hug The Tree).Â

Here’s our pick of 6 things to do at the open house that are still available for you!
1. Joget Joget

Accompanied by traditional live music band, Joget Joget by ERA Dance Theatre is a traditional Malay dance. If you want to move along with the performance, you are encouraged to and it doesn’t matter if you don’t already know the moves, it's all about enjoying the performance!

2. Make your First Wind-Chime

Partner up with your little ones to make your own glass wind-chime. It could be any shape, size or color you want!
You’ll have to collect your pieces in two weeks at the Goodman Ceramic Studio.
Location: Block O Multi Purpose Studio
Hour: 11 am – 12.30 pm | 12.30 pm – 2 pm | 2 pm – 3.30 pm | 3.30 pm – 5 pm

3. Make your own Glass Brooch or Fridge Magnet Workshop

If you’ve ever wondered how glass artwork is created, here’s your chance to find out.
At the Glass Brooch or Fridge Magnet Workshop, you’ll learn about the various glass materials and use the kiln to create your own fused glass artwork.
You’ll have to collect your pieces in two weeks at the Goodman Ceramic Studio.

Quartz Quartet, brought to you by Philharmonic Winds, is the musical adaptation of the popular children’s story, Three Little Pigs with a twist! Settle down with your little ones and immerse yourself in this musical journey of the classical tale.

5. Upbeat!

‘Upbeat!’ is an upbeat African Drumming performance that will have you grooving to the beat before you know it. And this outdoor pop-up performance has multiple sessions. If you miss one, you can catch the other one! Â

6. Fringe Activities

You can also take part in fringe activities such as Caricature Drawing, Face Painting, Community Batik Painting, and Giant Games around the art enclave. It’s free, it’s all day long and most importantly, you don’t need to register beforehand. You can just drop in at the Face Painting booth and get a butterfly on your cheeks (or something you prefer).
