1. The New Family-friendly Little Island Brewing Company at Gillman Barracks 

Little Island Brewing Company at Gillman Barracks brings you Singapore’s first vintage vinyl bar, featuring the iconic Altec Lansing A5-X Speakers from The 1950s.

Bring the kids for fun for the whole family. Experience one of the first mini-Vespa scooter rides in Singapore, along with an old-school playground outdoors, and a bouncy castle to expend any excess energy. The outdoors is also pet-friendly for the four-legged members of the family!

3. Swensen's Unlimited - International Buffet with 48 Rotating Ice Cream Flavours

Swensen's opens its first Swensen’s Unlimited store, an international buffet concept at Changi Airport Terminal 2 where families can enjoy an irresistible array of Swensen’s mainstays, desserts and more!

At the buffet, a whole section is also dedicated towards a rotating selection of Swensen’s signature ice creams and gelatos! There are 48 offerings to indulge in, from classic flavours such as Sticky Chewy Chocolate, Thin Min, and Cookies & Cream to outlet-exclusive surprises such as Laksa, Kaya, Cheese Cookies, Osmanthus Wolfberry Pear and more. The sweet offerings will be rotated seasonally, so there will always be new items to discover.

Buffet is available from $31 per adult and $15 per child, with children aged four and below dining for free. Each buffet session is 1.5hours.

6. New Item on Dian Xiao Er's Kids Menu

Dian Xiao Er has introduced a new item to its kids’ menu!

Upon obtaining Singapore’s Healthier Choice Endorsement certification, each menu option is designed to allow the young eaters a chance to taste the rainbow of colours, ensuring a balanced nutritional intake.

The brand-new Tomato Chicken Set ($9.90) continues this principle, all the while offering kids a chance to indulge in a tasty meal. The main dish is the Stir-fry Chicken with Tomato, where chunks of chicken are imbued with the sweetness of fresh tomatoes. It is accompanied with Superior Steamed Rice & Brown Rice, Cabbage with Abalone Sauce, Mixed Fruits and Original Soy Pudding! All the ingredients are presented in a cute duck-themed tray.

7. Din Tai Fung Brings Back Steamed Tom Yum Xiao Long Bao Alongside Three Premium Delicacies

Din Tai Fung is thrilled to announce the triumphant return of its highly sought-after limited-edition Steamed Tom Yum Xiao Long Bao ŚÜ¨ÁāéŚįŹÁ¨ľŚĆÖ, alongside the reintroduction of three tantalising premium dishes!¬†

Back by popular demand, this Thai-inspired rendition of the Steamed Pork Xiao Long Bao puts the "yum" in "tom yum", promising to reignite the everlasting impression it made when it first graced the menu. Available from now till 30 April.

8. Estate at Hilton Singapore Orchard Launches 10 Cooked-to-Order Signatures

Available from 12 March 2024 onwards, the elevated buffet concept at Estate at Hilton Singapore Orchard presents a curated selection of 10 à la minute specialties from Estate’s esteemed chefs featuring premium ingredients like foie gras and tomahawk steak, specially prepared-to-order from live kitchens and served directly to the table, alongside the new refreshed buffet favourites.

A star dish not to be missed, meat lovers can indulge in the mouth-watering Slow-Roasted Tomahawk, a prime cut paired with black truffle sauce, homemade Yorkshire pudding and mustard. Other highlights include the decadent Pan-Seared Foie Gras with apple and passion fruit compote and port wine glaze, as well as a twist on Estate’s iconic Signature Black Truffle Roasted Duck, elevated with charcoal rice and truffle hoisin sauce.

Lavish dishes await those who relish the ocean's offerings. Starting with the tender Signature Octopus served alongside homemade potato gnocchi and a rich Bolognese sauce. Diners can also savour flavours of the sea including Baby Abalone with Homemade Black Bean Tofu, followed by Slipper Lobster with Sarawak White Pepper Sauce. Other signature seafood dishes include Balsamic Prawn with Macadamia Nut and Steamed White Fish, utilising the freshest catch of the day, paired with green chilli sauce and black bean.

For the adventurous palate seeking unique options, look no further than the deep-fried Frog Leg with Yunnan Mushroom Rice and the seemingly unassuming yet comforting Braised Pork Noodles. Each spoonful of the 13-spice broth entices with its flavourful essence, enhanced with pickles, green peppercorn, coriander and white noodles.

Estate Cooked-To-Order Dinner Buffet is available Sundays to Thursdays from 6:30 pm to 10 pm!

9. 80s Cantonese Classics on YÀN’s Refreshed A La Carte Menu

From 18 March 2024, YÀN sets the table with nostalgic flavours from the 1980s. Taking centre stage on the refreshed à la carte menu are new dishes that pay homage to the grounded elegance of a simpler time, when techniques were developed to elevate and uncover the full potential of fresh, quality ingredients. 

The new repertoire of nostalgic dishes sit alongside the contemporary signature dishes of YÀN to inspire a deeper appreciation of the roots of Cantonese cuisine. Executed with simple yet precise cooking methods that bring forth the natural flavour of prime ingredients, the menu offerings brim with depth, complexity, and a sense of nostalgia. 

Highlights include: 

  • Double-Boiled Oxtail Soup with Radish and Whiskey - A robust and clear soup featuring Australian oxtail slowly simmered for three hours with star anise, ginger, soybean, and a splash of whiskey added towards the end.

  • Poached Star Grouper Fish Fillet with Superior Prawn Stock and Crispy Rice - The delicate flavours of seasonal fish steamed to tender perfection are complemented by a light yet umami-packed prawn stock made from crustacean heads and shells that are stir-fried, then deep-fried. The dish is finished with a sprinkling of rice that is deep-fried to golden crisp √† la minute, offering another layer of texture and fragrance, and a tantalising crackling sound to the dish as it is presented to guests.

  • Steamed Crab with Nu Er Hong Chinese Wine and Egg White - Sri Lankan crab is steamed briefly, before a silky emulsion of egg white and prized Nu Er Hong Chinese wine is poured over.

Other new additions to the menu include Salt-Baked Whole Free-Range Chicken, Grilled Lamb Rack, and Braised Ten-Head Whole Australian Abalone.

10. Goodwood Park Hotel's Famed Durian Fiesta Makes a Return

  • Savour the richness of this nourishing broth, slow-cooked for three hours,¬†featuring delectable ingredients such as crabmeat, dried scallops and bamboo pith enveloped within a delicate pomegranate egg white parcel. Crowned with a goji berry and accompanied by a tender piece of abalone, this dish is a true masterpiece.

Pan-fried U.S. Kurobuta Pork with Chef’s Secret Sauce and Crabmeat Omelette, $22++ per portion

  • ¬†Undoubtedly the highlight on this exclusive menu, this creation showcases a bed of silky Japanese ‚ÄėMee Sua‚Äô, served alongside a whole langoustine and luscious steamed egg white custard. This ensemble is bathed in a golden broth crafted from simmering prawn shells and topped with caviar, creating a dish that is both flavourful yet light on the palate.

Deep-fried Purple Sweet Potato Egg Lava Ball with Pistachio Gelato, $16++ per portion

19. Bedrock Origin Great Beef & Reef Series: A Toast to Spanish Flair and Flavours

Bedrock Origin unveils the second edition of its seasonal 2024 Great Beef & Reef series with an exciting limited-time menu. Available from 4 April to 30 June 2024 (Sundays to Thursdays), this menu takes diners on a flavourful dining experience inspired by the vibrant food culture of Spain, and featuring premium quality ingredients sourced directly from Spanish producers.

Rooted in Bedrock's philosophy of keeping things classic, look forward to delectable creations expertly prepared with primal cooking techniques at the 6-Course Dinner Tasting Menu ($158++/pax). Highlights of the menu include: 

  • Octopus Carpaccio - Thin slices of octopus tentacles steamed with red wine and accompanied by a tangy tomato salsa, pickled red radish, and deep-fried chickpeas.¬†

20. Pandan Durian Cheesecake from Cat & the Fiddle

Engage in cheery conversations while sharing the alluring fusion of Cat & the Fiddle’s latest addition to its Asian Delights collection, the enticing Pandan Durian Cheesecake. The Asian delight highlights the creamy layers of durian mousse that enfold a surprise burst of fragrant pandan sponge, resting on a layer of meticulously crafted crisps biscuit crust base. Adorned with a generous layer of toasted coconut and gracefully crowned with round peaks, each mouthful of The Divine Kings is enveloped in velvety chantilly cream.
