Kaarla meaning ‘where the home fires burn’, is a Contemporary Australian restaurant and bar that puts the spotlight on ‘Coastal Australian Cuisine’. The focus at Kaarla is Australia’s coastal regions, and their bounty of some of the most desirable seafood, livestock and produce in the world. At Kaarla, the use of fire is central to the craft of bringing to the table vibrant, exciting, yet unpretentious dishes reflecting Australia’s rich cultural melting pot – a cuisine without borders.
With its spectacular skyline views, Kaarla is a quintessential Australian experience served with genuine Australian ‘heart’. The focus of the kitchen at Kaarla is an Australian custom-built grill and oven that fires up to serve seasonal produce from land, river, and sea, cooked farm-to-table.

2. New Restaurant - Oumi

Similarly owned by 1-Group and located at Level 51 of CapitaSpring, Oumi serves contemporary Japanese Kappo cuisine, which literally means ‘to cut and cook’. Helmed by Head of Japanese Culinary Development, Chef Lamley Chua, the restaurant brings to the table a modern interpretation of kappo that is true to the times while still paying homage to tradition.
The kappo experience is as much visual as relational. Oumi offers a vantage view of Marina Bay and an open kitchen counter of up-cycled Magna glass that allows diners to banter with the chefs and view the team at work. Dishes are presented in individual servings, some exclusively available only when dining at the counter, while with larger groups of family, friends or corporates seated at the table, a similar selection is offered in communal sharing plates.
Perched 51 stories up at rooftop level, the two restaurants enjoy unparalleled views of the sea and urban skyline. 3. Special Menu - A Rediscovery of Cantonese Cuisine at Min Jiang, Goodwood Park Hotel

The first-ever ever ‘8 Hands Culinary Showcase: A Rediscovery of Cantonese Classics’ at Min Jiang sees the union of four veteran Chinese chefs – Chan Kwok, Chin Hon Yin, Chung Ho Shi and Min Jiang’s very own Chan Hwan Kee – who are each armed with a staggering 20 to 40 years’ experience in the art of Chinese cuisine, in a momentous occasion to present rarely seen traditional Hong Kong-style Cantonese dishes that date back at least three decades.
This exclusive showcase is a revival of once-familiar dishes that are elaborate and labour-intensive, requiring skills honed from years of experience. Each of the 19 highlighted dishes is also elevated with a touch of modern finesse. Sure to spark fond nostalgic memories for some and also intrigue the intrepid foodie, the week-long promotion from 18 to 25 May 2022 will showcase three set menus for four, six and ten persons.

4. Special Experience - Jurassic World Dominion Dining Adventure at Universal Studios Singapore

Embark on a breathtaking new adventure as Universal Studios Singapore in Resorts World Sentosa presents an exhilarating Jurassic World Dominion Dining Adventure! Featuring a Jurassic World-themed feast, special effects and prehistoric meet-and-greets, the specially curated multi-sensory dining experience is a sure delight for families.
Universal Studios Singapore will transform the Discovery Food Court into a celebration of the dinosaurs from Jurassic World Dominion. As they enter, guests will encounter Dr. Rodney, who will show them a newly hatched Velociraptor egg. 5. New Chef - Chef Simone Loisi Joins Waterfall Ristorante Italiano

Tucked away in the lush, landscaped gardens of Shangri-La Singapore, the charming Waterfall Ristorante Italiano is pleased to welcome onboard Chef Simone Loisi – formerly from iO Italian Osteria, as its new Chef de Cuisine.

Diners can enjoy a levelled-up version of the restaurant’s extremely popular Kaisen Soy Nabe* with the addition of freshly shucked oysters that are plump and sweet. Served piping hot over dancing flames, this hot pot is good for two persons and comprises a unique Japanese soy milk-dashi base.
Exclusive custom-made condiments bowl
Epitomising elegance and inspired by the sleek dark interiors of the restaurant, this condiment bowl, which comes in two designs, is a beautiful souvenir. Diners who spend a minimum of $80 per bill will receive one limited-edition bowl, while stocks last.
Adding to the restaurant’s popular lunch set selection are three new ones that will surely please. The Salmon Shioyaki Set, $26.80, features a generous 160g piece of salt and pepper-marinated Norwegian salmon that has been grilled to smoky perfection, paired with radish and topped with ikura, while the sen-ryo Kushiyaki Set, $20.80 is a skewer-fan delight with five sticks of ebi, hotate, tsukune, shiitake and onion. Both sets are served with Japanese rice, chawanmushi, miso soup, salad and pickles.
For those seeking a soothing and light meal, the Madai Ochazuke Set, $19.80 is a luxe option featuring rice topped with sliced sea bream, bonito flakes, radish and leek, along with a pot of Japanese green tea broth to pour into the bowl of rice. This set comes with chawanmushi and pickles.
7. New Tasting Menu - Bedrock Bar & Grill's 2022 World Meat Series Ed 2

Bedrock Bar & Grill introduces the second edition of its 2022 World Meat Series, featuring exquisite Dingley Dell Suffolk Red Pork. Relish a well-crafted selection of delectable dishes that highlights the allure of the most succulent Dingley Dell Pork, wine pairings will be offered as a top-up option at $88++ per person to complement a 5-Course Dinner Tasting Menu ($168++ per person). The Mother’s Day Tasting Platter ($39++) is only availalbe for dine-in at Da Paolo Gastronomia, Great World, it is a thoughtful selection of hand-picked boutique retail products crafted with artisanal recipes from Italy, as well as Da Paolo’s house-made signatures. This includes La Perla Chocolate Truffles in flavours of Pistachio and Salted Peanuts, La Perla Baci di Dama in flavours of Chocolate & Almond and Chocolate & Cocoa, two pieces each of the Cantucci Classici and Amaretti Croccantini.
