Tembusu Park has reopened with a bang, debuting a mega play area with lots in store! You’re in for a real treat with two playgrounds, a flying fox, and a cool sand play section.
Go wild with a large variety of play options

Is your child a little daredevil? They’ll love the many climbing opportunities here. Scale a rock wall, climb up a swinging ladder, or make your way up an obstacle wall complete with a rope attached to a tyre. Truth be told, this might be a little challenging for younger kids; but, if they’re game, we say go for it!

At the top, more fun awaits. Crouch down and traverse a netted tunnel, before whooshing down a long tunnel slide. We like how the slide opens up halfway — there’s nothing like the feeling of watching your child’s face light up with glee as they zoom down.

We’re definitely impressed by the variety of climbing options here, including a flight of boulder-shaped stairs and suspended nets.
Have younger children in tow? There’s a play area for them too

If all that was too much to handle, little kids can take it down a notch at the smaller playground. Everything here is smaller in scale, allowing for a less intimidating play experience.
And if they’re a fan of slides, there are four sets of slides here! However, we found the slides here to be a little steep; our daughter landed on her butt a few times after flying off the bottom.

They’ll have so much fun trotting across bridges, spying on the world below with a telescope, and hopping from leaf to leaf.

Be spoilt for choice with multiple interactive boards, which will be especially popular among toddlers.
Up the excitement with a flying fox and sand play

We lost track of how many times our daughter went on the flying fox; it was that fun. We liked that the flying fox was of a decent length too.

The cherry on the top of the cake? The unique conveyor belt-themed sand play area. First, kids could scoop sand into a hanging bucket, and draw it up to an elevated platform. After pouring the sand onto a conveyor belt, they can turn a handle to push the sand into a bucket. Needless to say, this area was very popular among the children!
But wait, that’s not all! The playground wows with other play elements too

As if all that wasn’t enough, there are also seesaws, racers, swings, and spinners that promise kids of all ages nothing but a fantastic time.
What to bring
The sand play area is a real showstopper, so be prepared for your kids to get all sandy and dirty. Bring a change of clothes, as well as some wet tissues and extra water to clean their hands and feet. The entire playground is entirely unsheltered; if you’re visiting in the afternoon, don’t forget a hat and sunscreen. And of course, a full water bottle is a must!
Our experience

We really liked the diversity of play options at this playground, and how there were two different play areas for older and younger children respectively. The sand play area’s uniqueness was a standout; our daughter is already asking when we can return.
The playground had multiple built-in benches too, which were great for parents to take a break — and keep a close eye on their kids at the same time.

There’s no need to rush off once dusk falls either: the playground is well-lit and empties out after sunset.
Location
Tembusu Park is located along Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2. The closest multi-storey carparks are at Block 276A (there’s an open carpark next to it too), as well as at Block 251A. It’s also a short three-minute walk from South View LRT station.
