Designed to be a multi-generational venue for people from all walks of life, the Active Garden at the Gardens by the Bay is the latest outdoor social hub where there is something for everyone!

Located along the stretch of Bayfront Plaza and the Floral Fantasy, Active Garden is a new 10,000 sqm space equipped with a host of complimentary and user-friendly facilities, including an outdoor gym, interactive musical playground, communal garden, expansive event lawns and a pet-friendly café!

Things To Do At Active Garden, Gardens by the Bay

From fitness to play, from young to old, from little humans to furpets, there will be something for everyone to have fun at. Expect a multi-generational fitness and musical playground, a pet café and open spaces for  lots of fun times - let's take a look at what families can expect at this new gardens and play venue! 

1. Create Music And Play @ The Musical Playground

 

The most kid-friendly part of he garden, the musical playground is where people of all ages and abilities can come together to create the universal language! So let the little ones create music on the xylophone, drum set, as well as other percussion instruments!

And if you have no musical knowledge, there is even music sheets so that you can try to play simple tunes too! 

2. Meet Your Fitness Goals At The Outdoor Fitness Gym

This well-equipped gym supports your fitness goals with a variety of fitness stations including  pull up bars, exercise bikes,  a knee-lift high bar, flat bench, body-curl bench, spring-up board and more! 

Phone running out of battery? You can even work-out to charge your phone on the Energy Recumbent Bike or Energy Hand Bike. It's so cool that they even made a video on how you can make use of the equipment at the garden too! 

3. Visit The Community Garden

This is Gardens by the Bay's first outdoor Community Gardens with 50 kinds of edible plants, ranging from herbs and vegetables to fruit trees. These are grown and cared for by our volunteers. For those who are keen, there will also be a series of interactive, educational public workshops conducted at Active Garden, as part of efforts to encourage greater interest in home gardening. 

4. Hold Your Next Event At The Waterfront Plaza

As we relax our SMMs, this might be a nice place for your future al fresco event. There is also indoor spaces for classes, workshops and more. From here, you will get the scenic views of the expansive Marina Bay Reservoir and the Gardens as your backdrop.

5. Run Around At the Moongate Lawn and Active Garden Lawn

Set along the waterfront, the Moongate Lawn is a great choice for all sorts of recreational activities - have a picnic or simply let the little ones round around! You will also find the Moongate Sculpture, a 3.8m upright bronze ring with a uniquely textured inner surface. It is conceived as a portal and offers a stunning backdrop for a ice photo at the Active Garden! 

You will also find the Active Garden Lawn, an outdoor lawn great for running around, kite flying or to laze around on too! These spaces are open to the public and for booking - an idea for birthday party venue?

6. Recharge With Your Furfriends At Mylo's

Mylo’s is one of the newest pet-friendly cafes in town. Enjoy a selection of fresh bakes, aromatic coffee, cheeky tipples, as well as over 20 seasonal gelatos made onsite! There's even a Dog Treats menu too!

  • Mon & Tues: Closed
  • Wed, Thurs & Sun: 8 am  -8 pm
  • Fri & Sat: 8 am - 10 pm

7. Go For A Walk At The Sensory Trail

Connecting Bayfront Plaza and Active Garden, this shaded path is lined with trees and herbs to pique and delight your senses of smell as well as sight. 

What To Bring When Visiting

We recommend the usual sunblock, insect repellent, wet wipes and sufficient water. With Mylo's within the vicinity, it is not too difficult to top-up on any additional F&B requirements. 

If you like, you may bring a change and towel to wipe dry. There are toilets nearby too. 

How To Get To The Active Gardens

The Active Garden is located along the Waterfront Promenade, and does not have a dedicated carpark. It is actually between the Bayfront Plaza Carpark (nearer) and the Main Entrance Carpark. 

Nearest CarparkBayfront Plaza Carpark. From the carpark, you will walk along the Dragonfly lake towards Bayfront Plaza and further down. It will be approximately 10-mins walk. 

Alternatively, you can cross over to the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome, and reach the Main Entrance Carpark (about 10 - 15 mins walk). 

MRT: Drop off at the Bayfront MRT Station and it will be about a 5-min walk towards the Waterfront Promenade.
