Bulim Park Playground: A Massive Climbing Frame, Nature Playgarden, and Toddler’s Play Area

With a massive climbing frame, a nature playgarden, and a toddler’s play area all in one, Bulim Park Playground is a great option for parents looking for a new playground to visit

Venue: Jurong West
Opening Hours: Daily | 24hrs (7pm - 7am, park lighting)
Admission: FREE

The West just got a whole lot more exciting with this gigantic climbing frame — you’ll find this at Bulim Park, which wows at first sight with a three-storey structure. We mean, just look at it!

Could This Be Singapore’s Largest Climbing Frame?

We could barely contain our excitement, and our adventurous daughter was all raring to go. Even better, the play area is under a shelter — which means that you can visit it at any time of day!

There are various ways to get up — depending on your climbing ability, go for the staggered platforms, slanted rope net, or a hexagonal vertical tunnel.

Do be careful, as the net on the second storey has big holes. From there, clamber up to the third storey via vertical climbing nets. You won’t have to watch your kids so closely once they get to the third storey, as the holes are much smaller (and they won’t be able to fall through).

What goes up, must come down! And in this case, getting down is easy — simply climb into the enclosed slide, and zoom all the way down to the ground!

Need a break from all that climbing? Have a sip of water on the suspended disc swing - lie down, take a break and just go with the sway.

Toddlers Can Have Fun at the Adjacent Play Area

Due to its sheer size and height, the main climbing structure might only be suitable for older kids or adventurous little ones! For those who may not be keen or who are too young, check out the smaller play area where they will love the small rock climbing wall, seesaw, and little red slide.

There’s Even a Nature Playgarden Too!

We’re all for nature playgardens, which offer fabulous imaginary and unstructured play possibilities. They’re also great for being in nature, training motor skills, and having fun!

Start by tiptoeing across the logs — look out, is there an alligator lurking in the ‘river’ below?

Jump for joy on the trampolines once you make it to safety, and try your hand at balancing on these logs.

Alternatively, pretend to be a frog and hop from stump to stump! The active little ones will absolutely crush it here, plus there is so much pretend play potential too!

What to Bring

There’s a wide and flat path meandering through the playground, so feel free to bring a bicycle, kick scooter or rollerblades.

If you’re visiting on a hot day, bring some sunblock for the nature playgarden (the other parts are sheltered). A water bottle and mosquito repellent are must-brings too.

Our Experience

We love how there’s a big toilet right next to the playground, which is something we don’t see often. Definitely great for any last minute toilet trips and to wash up after play!

Parents rejoice! There are also sheltered benches all around to sit, rest and watch your little ones.

While we feel that the giant climbing structure is more suited for older kids, our adventurous three-year-old daughter was able to complete it (multiple times!) with some help. So if your little ones wants to give it a go, we say just go for it - just be sure to be around to watch!

Location

The closest multi-storey carpark is at 276 Jurong West Street 25. From there, the playground can be reached via a short four-minute walk. Alternatively, take a 21-minute bus ride from Boon Lay MRT to Block 276B, followed by a three-minute walk to the playground.

The park will eventually be connected to Bulim Square via a sky corridor, but this has yet to be completed. Stay tuned for more updates.
