If you ever need to find a free play spot for your little ones at Changi Airport, do head over to this Aeroplane and Rainbow Slide playground at Terminal 3, Basement 2. The play space is surrounded by restaurants, making it a great spot to spend some time before or after meal times too!
A Revamped Play Space
If you thought that the space sounds familiar, you are not wrong. This play space is actually not new as it used to be a Sanrio-themed and nonya kueh-themed playground before its most recent iteration.
It is located just next to Slide@T3 and Wan To Play Little Dino Indoor Playground.
Red Aeroplane - Pretend Play for Little Ones
The centre of the playground is the red aeroplane. If you take notice of the markings on the sound padding, you will note that the aeroplane is actually on the runway, waiting to take off!
Kids can step on the "cloud steps" to enter the plane! They can practice jumping and balancing as they make their way up the plane!
There is a cabin at the back of the plane for kids to sit and play at. At the front of the plane, the cockpit offers a pretend play experience as the aspiring pilots take over the controls of the plane!
Rainbow Slide
Next to the aeroplane is a rainbow slide play structure. This mini slide adds an element of excitement to the playground, especially for the younger ones.
The playground is recommended for 2 to 5 years old and the play equipment correctly reflects the age it is meant for.
ST3PS and More
The playground is not huge nor does it have many play structures. We wouldn't recommend heading down just for it, but it is free and well situated amongst the many to-dos at Changi Airport Terminal 3 Basement 2, especially since it is part of the lifestyle hub, ST3PS.
