Hotels Can Apply To Start Accepting Staycation Bookings

The COVID-19 situation caused ripples through the tourism industry as families can't go on holidays, and hotels were not open for staycations. This might just change soon.  As Singapore's Phase 2 reopening continues, hotels may now start to apply* to the Government to accept bookings for staycations and reopen recreational areas for children.  *Note: Bookings are still not yet allowed at time of publishing (3 July 2020) A Safe Staycation Hotels must first comply with safe management measures drawn up for them by the Singapore Tourism Board, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Enterprise Singapore and Ministry of Health. Only Flower Dome At Gardens by the Bay Opening From 1 July 2020

Cloud Forest, OCBC Skyway, Supertree Observatory and Floral Fantasy – as well as the Garden Rhapsody sound and light show, will open in phases at a later date. Following the Government's announcement that 13 attractions will be allowed to open from 1 July 2020, Gardens by the Bay’s Friends of the Gardens members will be able to visit the Flower Dome at the Gardens by the Bay from 1 July, while the public can visit from 11 July.
