Other Primary School Information
What Do You Need For The Primary School Registration?
Before you register, you should have chosen a suitable school for your child. Common considerations are the school's reputation, distance from home and even CCA offered.
During the registration process, you should have the following information on hand too.
- Valid Singpass to access the Registration Portal
Only one parent is required to register. In the Registration Portal, you are required to declare that you have sought consent from the other parent to register your child for P1.
If you do not see details of your child due for P1 registration or their eligible phase or school in the portal:
- Have the other parent log in and register.
- If the other parent also cannot see the information, use the online form in the portal to register.
On the online form, you will need to submit your child's birth certificate or other applicable documents. Schools may contact you for clarification or additional documents.
You can check on MOE website for details.
Local Versus International Students
P1 registration is conducted over several phases. Phases 1 to 2C Supplementary apply to children who are Singapore Citizens (SC) and Permanent Residents (PR).
International students must register through a 2-step process prior to registration in Phase 3.
If your child is an international student, you should refer to the P1 registration process for international students for details on registering in an MOE primary school and the key date to note is to submit an online indication of interest form, available here from 9am on Tuesday, 19 May 2026 to 4.30pm on Monday, 25 May 2026, otherwise you will not be able to register in Phase 3 of the registration exercise.
Multiple Applications
In the same phase: You can only register your child in one school at any phase. Multiple applications will not be accepted. If you made multiple submissions in the same phase, MOE will only take your latest online application.
After securing a space in a previous phase: If you are looking to register your child in another school after securing a space, the same parent who registered the child must withdraw their place through the P1 Registration Portal successfully before applying for another school in their next eligible phase. Otherwise, MOE will not process any subsequent application and your child will remain in the school they had secured a place at.
