Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) Calendar 2026 | Important Dates to Note

The Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) is an annual national examination in Singapore taken by students at the end of the primary school education. Here are important dates to note in 2026.

The PSLE examination calendar (tentative) is now available on the Singapore Examination and Assessment Board (SEAB) website. 

For parents with kids attempting the exams in 2026, this can be a guide for preparations and for parents with kids in other levels in Primary school, do note the dates as possible school holidays too.

2026 PSLE Examination Calendar

The following dates are tentative and available here. The final dates should be available by 16 Feb 2026.

  • Tuesday, 14 April – Monday, 27 April 2026
• Oral Examinations
  • Wednesday, 12 August and Thursday, 13 August 2026
• Listening Comprehension
  • Tuesday, 15 September 2026
• Written Examinations
  • Thursday, 24 September – Friday, 25 September 2026
  • Monday, 28 September – Wednesday, 30 September 2026
• Marking Exercise
  • Monday, 12 October – Wednesday, 14 October 2026
• Result Release Date

Examinations Dates

Based on the 2026 PSLE Examination Calendar, here is the full schedule:

1. Oral Examination

• Wednesday, 12 August
  • English Language / Foundation English / Mother Tongue: 8 am - 1.30 pm
• Thursday, 13 August
  • English Language / Mother Tongue / Foundation Mother Tongue: 8 am - 1.30 pm

Candidates will take English or Mother Tongue on each day. 

2. Listening Comprehension Examination

• Tuesday, 15 September
  • Mother Tongue: 9 am - 9.35 am
  • Foundation Mother Tongue: 9 am - 9.40 am

  • English Language / Foundation English: 11.15 am - 11.50 am

3. Written Examination

• Thursday, 24 September (English)
  • English Language / Foundation English Paper 1: 8.15 am - 9.25 am

  • English Language / Foundation English Paper 2: 10.30 am - 12.20 pm (English), 10.30 am - 11.30 am (Foundation English)

• Friday, 25 September (Mathematics)
  • Mathematics Paper 1: 8.15 am - 9.25 am

  • Mathematics Paper 2: 10.30 am - 11.50 am

  • Foundation Mathematics Paper 1: 8.15 am - 9.15 am
  • Foundation Mathematics Paper 2: 10.30 am - 11.15 am

• Monday, 28 September (Mother Tongue)

  • Mother Tongue Paper 1: 8.15 am - 9.05 am

  • Mother Tongue Paper 2: 10.15 am - 11.55 am

  • Foundation Mother Tongue Paper 1: 8.15 am - 8.55 am

• Tuesday, 29 September (Science)

  • Science: 8.15 am - 10 am

  • Foundation Science: 8.15 am - 9.30 am

• Wednesday, 30 September (Higher Mother Tongue)

  • Higher Mother Tongue Paper 1: 8.15 am - 9.05 am
