The Istana is rorganising a combined Istana Open House (IOH) on Thu, 13 May 2021 to celebrate Labour Day and Hari Raya Puasa.

" In view of the latest COVID-19 Multi-Ministry Taskforce’s guidance to reduce the level of social interactions in the community, the Istana Open House (IOH) on Thursday, 13 May 2021 will be cancelled. We look forward to welcoming visitors to the Istana once the situation has improved. Those who had successfully obtained their tickets for this IOH will be able to gain admission to the next IOH using their existing tickets. Thank you for your understanding. "

The Istana is usually open 5 days a year for the public to visit the grounds and main building. With the COVID-19 pandemic, the Istana's phyiscal open houses were cancelled since Feb 2020 and were organised virtually instead.
Istana Reopening - Combined Open House
To celebrate Labour Day and Hari Raya Puasa, The Istana will be having a combined Istana Open House on 13 May 2021 from 9 am to 5 pm. To better manage the number of visitors in Istana at any one time, visitors who wish to visit the Istana on 13 May 2021 will have to register in advance.
Registration Details
Tickets will be allotted based on two-hourly time slots and on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are free for registration and you may start registering for your tickets from 10 am on Thu, 29 Apr 2021 on the registration page.
The slots available for registration are
- 9 am - 11 am
- 11 am - 1 pm
- 1 pm - 3 pm
- 3 pm - 5 pm
Every visitor, including babies in arms, will require a ticket for entry. Each applicant is entitled to register for a maximum of 8 tickets, using a valid email address and there are limited tickets per slot. Do note the tickets can only be used for the time slot registered for, and re-entry is not permitted.
Points To Note
Visitors are required to put on their masks at all times and maintain good hygiene and entry is subjected to temperature and security checks. You are also required to have a Trace Together App, Token, or NRIC for Safe Entry check-in too.
For security reasons, the following items are NOT allowed within the Istana grounds:
- Pointed and sharp objects (e.g. knives of any size, forks)
- Flammable items (e.g. lighters)
- Canned food and drinks
