The Deepavali Istana Open House (IOH) will be held on Sunday 9 November 2025, 8.30am to 6.00pm. The IOH will be open to all visitors!

The Istana will be open to public on 9 Nov 2025, this should be the last open house for 2025, so do drop by for a visit before the year closes!
The IOH will be open to all visitors. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents enter for free. All other visitors are required to pay an entrance fee of $20 (adults) and $10 (children from 4 to 12 years old).
*please note the Istana Main Building is currently closed for restoration until further notice, but families can still go on the Istana Heritage Tour.
Guided Istana Heritage Tour

Embark on a guided tour of the Istana grounds to explore its rich history, architectural heritage, and unique flora and fauna. The 1-hour walking tour begins at the Main Gate and features highlights such as the Villa, Japanese Garden, and Ceremonial Plaza.
Tours are conducted in English and Mandarin every hour from 9am to 4pm. Fees apply, and all proceeds go to the benefitting organisations supported by the President’s Challenge.

- Adult: $8.00 per pax
- Children (age 4 to 12 years): $4.00 per pax
- Children (below 4 years): Free
- Family Package (2 adults and 2 children, 4 to 12 years): $22.00

Entrance Fee
Admission to the Istana grounds is free for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents. All other visitors will have to pay a fee based on the details below.

Entrance to the grounds is via the main gate at Orchard Road.
Do take note that admission into the IOH is subject to security checks. Pointed and sharp objects (e.g., knives of any size, fork, scissors), flammable items (e.g., lighter), tripods and canned items (e.g., canned drinks) are not allowed. here are no storage facilities in the Istana. Security personnel reserve the right to deny entry to visitors with prohibited items.
