Are you ready to transport your family back in time? A new, epic dinosaur exhibition, DINOSAURS | EXTINCTIONS | US, is now open at Science Centre Singapore. This is not just another dinosaur display; it's a massive, world-class experience that combines two renowned exhibitions, Dinosaurs of Patagonia and Six Extinctions, for the first time to offer a truly unforgettable family day out!

Over 90 Artifacts across 3 Interactive Zones

This groundbreaking collaboration between Science Centre Singapore and the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum promises an extraordinary journey through 400 million years of Earth's history. Spanning an enormous 3,000 square metres, the exhibition features 33 rare fossils and 60 full-scale models across three interactive zones. The largest ever dinosaur showcase will reveal the dramatic rise and fall of prehistoric life and the five major mass extinction events that have shaped our planet.

Massive Dinosaurs on Display

The main attraction is undoubtedly the colossal Patagotitan mayorum, a 40-metre-long dinosaur weighing over 70 tonnes that is one of the largest to have ever walked the Earth. Imagine the look on your child's face as they stand beneath this prehistoric giant!

The exhibition also features the life-sized cast of “Scotty,” the largest Tyrannosaurus rex ever discovered, along with plenty of interactive activities like dig pits and hands-on displays.

In the Midst of the Sixth Extinction

Beyond the thrills of the prehistoric giants, the exhibition offers a unique educational focus. It explores the five major mass extinctions that have shaped our planet, bringing visitors through their profound impact on life's evolution before culminating in a thought-provoking look at the current "Sixth Extinction" driven by human activity on the climate.

To make this topic relatable, a special section highlights Singapore’s own story of extinction, featuring specimens of locally extinct animals like the cream-coloured giant squirrel (Ratufa affinis affinis) and the rufous-collared kingfisher (Actenoides concretus), both drawn from the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum's collection.
