A New Golden Village Cinema Opens at Downtown East
Golden Village, Singaporeās leading cinema exhibitor, has announced the opening of its newest outlet, Golden Village Downtown East, marking the companyās 17th cinema location island-wide. Conveniently located on Level 4 of E!Hub @ Downtown East, the new cinema brings the magic of the big screen closer to residents living in Pasir Ris and surrounding neighbourhoods.
Situated within Downtown East, Singaporeās largest integrated entertainment and lifestyle destination in the East, GV Downtown East is surrounded by popular attractions such as Wild Wild Wet, DāResort, and DāMarquee, along with a wide range of dining, retail, and entertainment options. This makes it an ideal spot for families and friends to enjoy a full day of activities ā whether as part of a staycation, a weekend outing, or a relaxed movie night after a day of play.
What to Expect at GV Downtown East
The new cinema features six halls with a total seating capacity of 980 seats, offering regular movie programming across a range of genres. In addition to public screenings, GV Downtown East will also be available for venue hire, including corporate bookings and private functions, continuing Golden Villageās commitment to catering to diverse audience needs across its cinema network.

As part of the opening celebrations, all-day weekday student tickets at $7 and senior citizen tickets at $5 will be available till 30 January 2026. The promotion is valid for full-time primary, secondary, polytechnic, and tertiary students in Singapore, as well as senior citizens aged 60 years and above.
A photo ID is required for the purchase of student or senior-priced tickets at GV Box Office counters or Automated Ticketing Machines, and must also be presented at the point of entry. Each student card or senior ID is valid for one discounted ticket purchase only.

- Valid for sessions full day on Mondays to Fridays, excluding Public Holidays & eve of Public Holidays. (In cases where a Public Holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will also be counted as a Public Holiday, in accordance to the Singapore calendar.)
- Not valid for online and iGV bookings, group/corporate bookings, Gold ClassĀ®, Gold Class Express, sneaks, premium-priced films/events, special themed event movies, premieres, movie marathons, film festivals, special events, other discounts/promotional offers and otherwise stated.
- Not valid with use of movie vouchers, complimentary passes or VIP passes.
