Downtown East and BYKidO have teamed up to present The Great Pumpkin Trail, a month-long Halloween celebration packed with weekend challenges, free trick-or-treating experiences, a best dressed contest and interactive play for children.

Looking for family-friendly Halloween activities this October? Downtown East and BYKidO have teamed up to present The Great Pumpkin Trail, a month-long Halloween celebration packed with weekend challenges, free trick-or-treating experiences, interactive play, and exclusive rewards for children.

Running every weekend from 3 to 31 October 2026, the trail invites children aged 12 and under to take on simple Halloween-themed activities across participating stores. The month-long festivities conclude with a Grand Halloween Finale on Saturday, 31 October, featuring a mall-wide trick-or-treat trail and a Best Dressed Costume Competition with prizes including a family staycation at D’Resort, Wild Wild Wet passes, and NTUC Club cash vouchers.

Follow the Pumpkins: The Great Pumpkin Trail

Getting started is simple. Little adventurers can collect a trail card from the E!Avenue Level 1 Information Counter and look out for pumpkin markers placed outside participating stores across Downtown East.

Each stop offers a quick, engaging activity spanning arts and crafts, physical challenges, storytelling, and educational games:

• Achievers Arts (E!Hub #03-102): Get creative with a special Halloween colouring card.
• EduFirst Learning Centre (E!Hub #03-108): Tackle a fun, Halloween-themed Math challenge.
• Edventure Learning Academy (E!Avenue #02-344): Settle in for a family storytelling session.
• INMERS (E!Hub #03-109): Beat the clock in a 2 to 3-minute 'Floor Is Lava' active challenge (achieve at least 50 points to complete!).
• Tayo Station (E!Hub #03-112): Help 'feed' the hungry pumpkin with sweet treats.
• Upwall Climbing (E!Hub #01-105): Spot hidden pumpkins along the climbing walls or solve a family crossword puzzle together.

Redeem a Free Trick-or-Treat Pumpkin Bucket

Children who complete at least three activities along the trail and collect their corresponding stamps can head to the Level 2 E!Avenue Information Counter between 3 and 31 October to exchange their completed card for an exclusive Trick-or-Treat Pumpkin Bucket.

This collectible orange bucket is ready to be filled with candies, treats, and exclusive store vouchers during the Halloween celebrations.

Grand Halloween Finale & Trick-or-Treating 

On Saturday, 31 October, the Halloween celebrations reach their peak as participating outlets open their doors for trick-or-treating.

Families can explore the destination at their own pace or sign up for a Free Guided Trick-or-Treat Trail. Led in two 30-minute sessions at 5.00pm and 7.00pm, these guided group walks bring kids to participating outlets—including Bored Tacos, EduFirst Learning Centre, Edventure Learning Academy, Eminami, INMERS, MIXUE, and Tayo Station—to collect caramel popcorn, soft serve ice cream, candies, and enrichment trial vouchers.

Guided trail slots are free but limited, so advance online registration is required.

Best Dressed Costume Competition: Win Staycations & Cash Vouchers

Head down to Downtown East on 31 October, as we bring Halloween to its grand finale! Come dressed in your favourite Halloween costumes, whether your little ones step out as superheroes, fairytale characters, or friendly monsters, you can be part of our Best Dressed Costume Competition! 

Mystery spotters will be going around the mall from 5 pm to 9 pm to spot the most creative families! Be there and be spotted to stand a chance to win exciting prizes, including,

• Prizes Include: A D’Resort room stay with a private BBQ pit, Wild Wild Wet Day Passes, and up to $500 in NTUC Club cash vouchers to eat, play, and shop at Downtown East.

Winners will be announced after the event on Downtown East and BYKidO's social media pages. Participating stores will also be competing for the title of Best Decorated Store, bringing extra festive flair to the mall.

BYKidO Tip: If you plan to attend the Grand Finale on 31 October, register for the free guided trick-or-treat sessions early, as slots are limited.
