Light and Projection Display At Marina Bay
The MBSC 2021 takes on a different format with a month's long light display called "Shine a Light" and a projection show called "Share a Moment".
Representing hopes of a new beginning, Shine a Light comprises 60 light beams projecting from The Promontory, illuminating the Marina Bay skyline nightly from 1 December to 31 December 2020. Arranged in a circle, the 60 light beams form the notches of a clockface as we count down to the New Year.
Share the Moment campaign is a community project that culminates in projection mapping shows on the facades of three iconic landmarks in Marina Bay – The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, ArtScience Museum and the Merlion.
Light Projections on Fullerton Bay Hotel in MBSC 2019
In a collaborative effort with local schools, a dedicated group of students volunteered their time to participate in a series of masterclasses to co-create works of art inspired by these stories of good. The artworks were then adapted for the projection mapping shows that will light up the Marina Bay precinct. The projections will take place nightly from Dec. 25 to Dec. 31.
Details of the two light displays will be announced in due time.
