Mummies and Daddies, get ready to level up your next family weekend! If your household is tired of the usual playground runs and mall visits, the SAFRA NS Experience Camps are stepping in to deliver a thrilling, first-of-its-kind adventure. This is a rare opportunity for families to step into the world of National Service, reimagined entirely as high-energy family- and child-friendly experiences where parents and kids team up to complete awesome, mission-based challenges.

Far from a boring classroom lesson, these camps are packed with hands-on excitement. Imagine painting each other's faces with camouflage cream, decoding top-secret clues in an intelligence mission, piloting drones through the air, or working together to build and launch a real water raft. It is the ultimate chance for fathers to share their favourite military memories in a way kids can actually see and touch, and for families to discover just how epic teamwork can be—all in a completely safe, accessible, and family-friendly environment.

Running from June 2026 all the way through to March 2027, there will be multiple camps across 7 SAFRA clubs island-wide with distinct themes across the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Digital & Intelligence services.

Types of SAFRA NS Experience Camps

To help families navigate the extensive line-up running from June 2026 to March 2027, the programmes are divided into four distinct formats based on age groups and structures:

• 3-Day Children’s Camps (Ages 5–12): Independent 3-day, 2-night camps where children must first complete a fundamental military training camp before advancing to specialised service editions.
• 2-Day Immersive Family Camps (Ages 5 and above): 2-day, 1-night experiences designed specifically for one parent and one child to team up and tackle challenges together.
• 1-Day "NS For Everyone" Camps (Ages 3 and above): Bite-sized, single-day experiences perfect for younger children or families preferring not to stay overnight.
• 2-Day Empowering NS For Women (Ages 13–60, women only): Individual weekend camps tailored for women to get a glimpse into the National Service journey.

3-Day Children’s Camps

Venue: SAFRA Yishun 
Fees: From $136.25 (per SAFRA Member), $168.95 (per Guest), per camp, includes 2 pcs of Army T-shirts, 1 set of Utility Bag, 1 Green Military Hat & Badge

If you are looking to build independence and resilience in your children, SAFRA Yishun is hosting dedicated 3-day, 2-night drop-off camps for children. These will be available during the school holidays (till Mar 2027). 

Every child must first complete the BMTCE foundation camp before they can unlock and advance to the other specialised camp. This camp is all about teamwork, confidence-building, and having a blast in nature, perfect for kids who love adventure and trying new things!

• Basic Military Training Children’s Edition (BMTCE):

2-Day Immersive Family Camps 

Venue: Various SAFRA Clubs
Fees: $54.50 (per SAFRA Member), $65.40 (per Guest), per camp

Happening across various SAFRA Clubs, these 2-day, 1-night camps are specially designed for one parent and one child to team up and tackle challenges together, fostering trust and deeper family bonds through shared goals.

Families can experience the spirit of NS in a fun and accessible way through activities such as camo-on, outdoor cooking, basha building, mini route marches and passing-out parades, without the intensity of actual military training.

Each camp offers a different experience, and is themed towards Army, Navy or Air Force. 

Army Editions

• SAFRA Tampines (with Marksmanship Experience): Test your focus, alignment, and steady hands with a family-friendly marksmanship activity.

• SAFRA Mount Faber (with Navigation to Kent Ridge Park): Learn the fundamentals of map reading and navigation as you navigate your way to a historic local park.

• SAFRA Choa Chu Kang (with Field Cooking Experience): Discover how national servicemen prepare meals in the wild and try your hand at outdoor cooking.

  • 24 – 25 Oct 2026

• SAFRA Yishun (with Basha Building Experience): Pitch a basha tent together and experience the basics of outdoor field shelter setup.

Air Force & Navy Editions

• SAFRA Toa Payoh (Air Force Experience): Explore the skies with aviation-inspired activities, including high-tech hands-on drone flying challenges.

• SAFRA Jurong (Navy with Rafting Experience): Take to the water and learn the ultimate lesson in teamwork by building and navigating a water raft.

NS For Everyone 1-Day Camp

Venue: Various SAFRA Clubs
Fees: $21.80 (per SAFRA Member), $32.70 (per Guest), includes lunch, 1 pc of Army T-shirt, 1 set of Cap, Drawstring Bag and Badge/Pin

Perfect for families with younger toddlers (from 3 years old) or those who prefer a bite-sized introduction without an overnight stay. This 1-day experience lets one parent and child tackle lighter, but still highly engaging NS-inspired activities together.

A unique individual experience tailored specifically for women. This camp offers an insightful, hands-on understanding of the physical and mental training, teamwork, and resilience required in National Service.
