Inspired by the theme "Majulah Singapura. Go Beyond!", SAFRA is bringing families together throughout August 2026 with interactive challenges, hands-on craft workshops, and vibrant National Day celebrations.

Organised in partnership with Families For Life, these festivities offer something special for every generation—from engaging trivia games to iconic NDP live screening. Here is everything you need to know to plan a fantastic National Day celebration with your family at SAFRA!

National Day Highlights - NDP Live Screening, Family Picnic and Fun Activities!

The celebration highlight happens on National Day, 9 August. Gather your loved ones for an unforgettable National Day Parade experience at your nearest SAFRA club.

• NDP Live Screening & Family Picnic (SAFRA Members' Exclusive): Gather up to 6 family members for an evening picnic and live broadcast of the parade! Each registration includes a meal for every family member, a picnic mat, a full set of SG61 collectibles and NDP Packs. Limited availability per club, do check here for availability. 

• 6.1 Seconds Challenges: Fast hands win! Take on 3 interactive challenges, each to be completed within 6.1 seconds. The first 61 participants to complete all three tasks at each club will win an exclusive SAFRA SG61 Merlion collectible. 

• Defending Our Home Passport: Each passport sleeve holder receives 4 exclusive SAFRA SG61 collectibles, limited edition stickers/ decal, vouchers plus access to a T-shirt painting activity for 2. Limited to 61 passports per club. What's more, SAFRA members stand to win $60 vouchers in a lucky draw! 

Families can expect a host of family fun activities happening at each club! These include the Call Back to Duty Day Camp at SAFRA Yishun, Drone Soccer Experience at SAFRA Punggol and SAFRA Tampines, Creative Wellness Workshop at SAFRA Toa Payoh and more! Be sure to check each SAFRA Club for details on the club specific activities! 

Celebrations Throughout the Month

More activities take place across the entire month of August! Keep the kids entertained with interactive activities with prizes to be won too! 

• Families For Life Building Singapore Together Mural: From 7 to 31 August, explore a curated mural featuring Singapore's iconic landmarks. Families can pre-register to join colouring sessions on selected days to help bring the artwork to life while earning an exclusive SG61 collectible item. Stay tune for the registration here. 

• Families For Life Ready Together Knowledge Wheel: Spin the wheel to test your knowledge of Singapore's history, culture and heritage. Available from 1 to 31 August, but take note of the bonus National Day edition on 9 August, where the first 61 participants at each club to answer the questions correctly will each score an exclusive SAFRA SG61 collectible item.

• How Well Do You Know Singapore Contest (SAFRA Members' Exclusive): Take part in this online fun trivia on Singapore's history, culture and National Day, and stand a chance to win $10 SAFRA Rewards Voucher! Limited to 50 winners from each SAFRA club!

• Find, Snap & Receive! (SAFRA Members' Exclusive): From 9 to 31 August, hunt for two hidden National Day characters around the SAFRA clubs, snap photos of them, present them at the Customer Service Counter and follow the SAFRA club's social media pages to redeem a SAFRA SG61 Digital Merlion Collectible. Limited to the first 61 SAFRA members who complete the challenge!

SAFRA SG61 Merlion Collectible 

Families can receive an exclusive SAFRA SG61 Merlion Collectible when they take part in selected National Day activities. These Merlion represents one of Singapore's Six Pillars of Total Defence – Military, Civil, Economic, Social, Digital and Psychological Defence, reminding us that everyone has a role to play in Defending Our Home Together.

These collectibles are only available when you take part in the selected National Day activities. So if you want to collect the entire set, better plan your day early on 9 August 2021!
