Join some of the beloved children’s book writers and illustrators online as they show you how to do dramatized storytelling, write wacky poems, learn about emotions, and outdraw each other in an epic illustrator’s battle in Ready for KidLit!
There are a total of five sessions, each one 45 minutes long. The event will be live-streamed on Singapore Book Council’s Facebook and YouTube page.

Adults aren’t the only ones who get stressed – young kids get stresses too. Aiming to provide an outlet for children and youth to relieve their stress, Thrive Psychology Clinic has introduced the Reducing Stress with Art Sessions for Kids. Held every alternate Monday, the sessions seek to provide a fun alternative to reduce stress as well as promote positivity and relaxation. Parents are free to join in as well!

During the UltraCamp Asia Virtual Summer Camp, children will be attending four key virtual workshops. They will discover the science behind how planes fly with hands-on activities in Aviation while Virtual Reality will transport them to a different world through an immersive learning experience. Brain Nutrition & Cognitive Fitness will teach kids how to be creatively active at home and they’ll be able to pick up useful strategies to be more self-driven in learning with Academic Excellence.

If you were on the lookout for more programs like Saturdays@ACM, you’ll be delighted to learn that Asian Civilisations Museum has launched a new series, ‘Let’s Learn About...’, perfect for children and grown-ups to enjoy together!
Every month, the series will focus on a different topic and provide bite-sized fun facts, interactive quizzes, puzzles, and videos to help you learn more about their objects. This month, the focus is on Chinese Art and Couture! You can colour in a Chinese bridal dress, fold an origami dress, or make your own wristlet by downloading the activity sheets.
If you’re interested to learn more about the objects featured in the activity sheets, ACM provides links to Roots.sg, which will give you an insight to the objects highlighted. You can also watch a video on how some of the objects in the Guo Pei exhibition were carefully mended and prepared for display by the conservators at the Heritage Conservation Centre (HCC).
5. Skechers Friendship Walk 2020: Online Edition

Returning this September for a third edition, the SKECHERS Friendship Walk will be held in a virtual format this year, while carrying on the spirit of the Walk to encourage bonding between family and friends.
This year’s online edition of the Walk will take place from 7 to 20 September 2020, where all participants will be able to complete their chosen distance virtually within this period – a great way to stay active and keep fit, while also spending valuable time together with family members and loved ones!
