This month, Asian Civilisations Museum’s ‘Let’s Learn About…’ series places the highlight on Cross-cultural Art! Explore a bird calligram displayed in the museum’s Islamic Art Gallery that mixes cultures and influences.
A calligram is an image formed from only letters or words and you can create your own calligram! You can also attempt the word search puzzles related to the Bird Calligram.
4. ArtScience on Screen: Ode to Invention

Comprised of four short films, ArtScience on Screen: Ode to Invention celebrates the sparks of insights and “Eureka!” moments through the eyes of child protagonists.

5. Pocket Gardens Surprise: Out of Africa at Gardens by the Bay

The Flower Dome opened its doors to visitors with Pocket Gardens Surprise, featuring changing mini garden displays throughout the conservatory.
The first mini gardens, the Edible Garden, featuring vegetables and herbs grown for use in the kitchen is still on display while the Terrace Garden, a landscaped setting of fruits, flowers, herbs, and scented foliage, will be changed after 16 Aug.
From 17 Aug, you can look forward to Out of Africa, a colorful landscape of the tallest animal and heaviest land mammal in the world as well as the African Baobab, the “Tree of Life”, known for being a provider of water, food and shelter for both animals and Man.
