In celebration of our nation’s birthday, Esplanade celebrates the things that make us uniquely Singapore for the whole month of August. The series, Red Dot August, brings you a variety of free performances, such as storytelling videos, movies, dance, and music performances, which will be premiering every day at 8 pm. You can catch them at Esplanade Offstage or on Esplanade Facebook. Don’t worry if you’ve missed the previous performances, you can still watch them!
2. Gai Gai Tour: A Heritage Tour around Mount Faber

4. SCDF Fire Station Openhouse

For an insightful and educational Saturday, register a visit to the popular SCDF Fire Station Openhouse, which has restarted after a momentary pause due to COVID-19. You will be able to learn about the daily operation of the fire station as well as the roles of the Civil Defence personnel.
Each registration is capped at a maximum of 5 visitors and all visits are required to be pre-registered.
5. Virtual Tour of ACM Materials and Design Galleries

A while back, the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) opened new galleries, collectively themed as Materials and Design. Located on the third floor, decorative arts are the focus of the galleries. You can now explore the two new galleries – Jewellery and Fashion and Textiles – together with the refreshed Ceramics gallery virtually from wherever you are.
