Get up close and personal with over 700 turtles and tortoises from more than 40 different species - only here at The Live Turtle & Tortoise Museum!
Established back in 2001, the museum has moved from its previous location in Chinese Garden, Jurong to its current place at ORTO. The museum also holds a Guinness World Record for their extensive collection of live turtles and turtle artifacts from all over the world.

Here at the museum, its tortoises, turtles and terrapins are free to roam during the day. At this point, visitors will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the museum's residents. Get to befriend the large Sulcata Tortoises (a breed from Africa), the Golden Temple Turtles (from Thailand), as well as other unique species like the Pancake Tortoises, the Golden Terrapins, the Indian Star Tortoises, the Soft Shell Turtles (also from India), the six-legged tortoises, and more!
Visitors may also take the chance to pet and/or feed these rare creatures with vegetables and/or snake beans (which you may purchase from the museum).
For those of you who may be keen to try something new and looking to plan a trip to somewhere out of the ordinary, do definitely consider putting The Live Turtle and Tortoise Museum on your to-go list! For those with little ones, the museum will be a great place to introduce them to these underrated reptiles, and to learn more about them.
