Let’s take the children to explore and play around at this cute owl-themed playground and see what’s inside!

Venue: 268 Toa Payoh East Singapore 311268
Opening Hours: Daily 24hrs (7pm - 7am, park lighting)
Admission: Free

We love themed playgrounds, and this one’s a real hoot. Kim Keat Ripples is home to an owl-themed playground, and it has our little one’s big stamp of approval. Indeed, the space is great for little kids!

Clamber Into the Owl’s Warm Embrace

“The Mama owl is hugging me!” — our little one made a beeline for the tall owl structure, which leads to another side via a rope bridge and a short tunnel. There are poles inside the owl too, which makes for a fun game of merry go round.

Enjoy the Slides Galore!

Do your kids love slides? Well, they’re in luck — for there’s not one, but three slides here. Children can zoom down two wavy slides, or a covered tunnel slide. Our kids loved racing each other down the slides, and seeing who can reach the bottom first!

Small But Mighty

The playground may be small, but it certainly packs a punch with its play equipment. Think: a seesaw, a spinner, and a little swing. The floor is also dotted with little patterns that resemble mushrooms — our kids had the best time hopping from spot to spot, and pretending that the floor was lava.

Pretend to be an owl peering out of a tall tree, or give the interactive board a go. They can learn about owls, or work on their motor skills by turning and twisting the movable pieces on the board.

P.S. Don’t leave without spotting the little owls perched on the roof!

What to Bring

Throw a small umbrella and sunscreen into your bag, so as to be prepared for however the weather turns. Insect repellent is great to have as well, alongside a change of clothes if you’re planning on heading out for a meal after.

Our Experience

This playground is a little small, and we feel that older kids might get bored after a while. Younger kids, however, will have a blast! It’s great for children with whimsical imaginations: our daughter couldn’t stop going on about how the mama owl was there to protect the whole playground.

P.S. There are seating areas for parents to have a rest, or place their belongings at.

Location

Plenty of parking can be found at the multi-storey carpark at 401 Lorong 1 Toa Payoh. The playground can be reached from either Toa Payoh or Potong Pasir MRT stations. From Potong Pasir MRT, take buses 142 or 506 to the bus stop opposite block 195, followed by an eight-minute walk to the playground.

From Toa Payoh MRT, take bus 238 from block 219 (a six-minute walk from the MRT station) to block 23. From there, the playground is a short five-minute walk away.
