This week, we look at some of the massive year-end events that we have been missing since over the last few years!

It has been awhile since we have seen the massive year-end events that used to fill up the December holidays! It is back this year with family-friendly, exciting and sometimes free events happening island-wide!

This is just a compilation of 5 ideas for the week - for more ideas, we have also compiled our weekly list into a regularly updated list of weekly recommendations or join our Telegram group for the most up-to-date sharing too!

*Check out our Year-end Round-up too for more family fun ideas!

1. Massive Inflatable Theme Park - Funtasia

VenueExhibition Hall 4A, 1 Expo Dr, Singapore 486150
Dates: 2 - 30 Dec, 10 am - 10 pm daily
Admission: $18 (adult) / $28 (child) - tickets available on KKday

With so many bouncy castle events happening, why should you visit Funtasia? Firstly, they touted themselves as the largest inflatable theme park in Singapore - and a mummy who visited mention that it has the largest and tallest inflatable slides that she has EVER seen! There will be a 110m obstacle challenge and the tallest inflatable slide stands at 10m tall!

Next, it is not all about excitement, there will also be challenges for younger ones such as tire track, small river jump and five small slides. Older kids can look forward to the Kids Fun Zone including The Rabbit, Merlion Lion and Berries.

Lastly, the ticketing seems pretty reasonable. Those with older (taller kids) you can get an adult ticket (for above 150cm) at $18 for a 5 hour playtime that includes re-entry. For those below 150cm, tickets are available at $28.

2. Experience Real Snow & Fun @ Ice Magic

Venue: Bayfront Event Space

Open to families from 1 Dec 2022 to 1 Jan 2023, Ice Magic: The Great Fantasy on Ice will be the biggest pop-up winter-themed attraction to ever set foot in Singapore, bringing real ice and snow activities to Singaporeans longing for a winter holiday and we promise you that it will be an absolute delight for both child and parent!

The 2,400sqm ice and snow playground will include play stations that you probably never seen before, like playing bowling on ice, or riding a bicycle on ice? Families can also expect an exciting 70m snow slope and a figure-8 ice slide (we warn you that this is pretty fast)!

There will also be plenty of picture moments as your play with the snow - yes, real SNOW - at least real man-made snow!

*If you are going, we highly recommend that you bring along gloves, ear-muffs and beanies to cover your hands and ears. Jacket and boots are provided.

We focus on the Puzzle Hunt as it seems more family-friendly but you can read about all the happenings at the Jurassic Mile this holidays (think food trucks, lighted Dinos, and a 45km/90km distance challenge!

The 3.5km Puzzle Hunt is a one-day only adventure where you will set off from T2 and search for over 30 checkpoints along the Changi Airport Connector! Answer trivia about the prehistoric era, take Augmented Reality (AR) wefies with dinosaurs, and end off the day in the dazzling glow of Jurassic Mile!

4. Get Into The Christmas Feels @ Christmas Wonderland

Venue: Gardens by the Bay, Supertree Grove
Dates: 2 Dec 2022 - 1 Jan 2023
Admission: from $8

We might have shared about Christmas Wonderland across many of our listicles, but we really have to share it once again after our visit on the opening day!

Happening from now until 1 Jan 2023, Christmas Wonderland 2022 is THE place to visit to get into the Christmas spirit! You will get to meet Santa, stroll around various light installations (while Christmas carols play in the background), have lots of photos taken, enjoy festive treats, play at the carnival games and ride the double-storey carousel too!

The experience starts from $8 per pax, and we recommend topping up for the carousel. Food is on the higher end (I was "forced" to get a candy floss), but we still recommend it if you don't mind splurging. There are lots of seating available so getting some food and chilling in the space is a pretty good family evening too!

*Disclaimer, we know how packed it can get from previous years' experiences but our visit on the opening day (open to public) was quite good. It was crowded but definitely not packed.
