We are officially in November and there's so much that is happening over the next few weeks! 

Let's not look too far ahead, here's our weekly list of 5 family-friendly things to do. If you need more ideas, we also have a list of new things that families can do in November too - there's no end of family fun ideas!

1. Visit The Doraemon Exhibition at National Museum of Singapore 

Venue: National Museum of Singapore
Dates: 
5 Nov 2022 - 5 Feb 2023

The Doraemon Exhibition Singapore 2022 opens this weekend at the National Museum of Singapore. Families can expect a selection of contemporary artworks that reinterprets Doraemon with the changing world and to showcase its cultural impact in contemporary history.

2. Join A Puzzle Hunt - Monumental Hunt in the Civic District 

Venue: Asian Civilisation Museum (starting point)
Dates: Every Sat from 5 Nov to 17 Dec 2022 | 10am, 11am and 12noon
Fees: $20 Adult | $15 Child 

Go on an adventure, test your wits and solve puzzles as you explore 9 National Monuments at the newly launched Monumental Hunt in the Civic District by the National Heritage Board (NHB).

Starting at the ACM, participants will collect a tote bag with all that is required to play the game, this comprises a puzzle booklet, map/puzzle tool, sticker sheet and hint card. A game master will explain the rules of the game and you can set off to solve the puzzles (using the game kit) in a free-and-easy format. You will be uncovering clues and decoding puzzles at each location, while discovering fascinating facts about our National Monuments.

*Note: This activity is recommended for 13 years old and above. Probably due to the difficulty of the puzzles! 

3. Visit Pandora at the Avatar: The Experience 

Venue: Cloud Forest, Gardens by the Bay
Dates: from 28 Oct 2022, 9 am - 9 pm
Admission: from $35 (Get tickets from Klook)

Set in the garden's dreamy Cloud Forest, Avatar: The Experience will bring the mystical world of Pandora to you, and is described as an immersive walk-through event based on Avatar, the globally highest-grossing film of all time.

Families can expect lots of photo spots across 5 different zones that represents Pandora. There will also be interactive experiences where you can evolve into an Avatar, try flying a banshee, and even meet with a baby banshee too! 

4. Go On A Nature Walk With Young Nautilus

Venue: Various
Dates: Selected Dates in Nov and Dec 2022
Fees: from $56 (Tickets available on BYKidO SHOP)

Popular nature walk provider, Young Nautilus, has announced its latest schedule for November and December where families can join them to explore Singapore coastal backyard (across different venues) and to take a look at the amazing animals found in Singapore. This a chance for kids to learn more about science and nature, and to see in action the beauty of wildlife.

5. Innovative Creations by Preschool Kids At The Future Ready Fair 2022

Venue and Dates:

  • 5 Nov at The Plaza at National Library Building
  • 12 Nov at Canopy @JLink

Admission: Free

Over 2 weekends in November, PCF Sparkletots will be hosting a Future Ready Fair 2022 where families will get to take part in FREE interactive activities, including STEMIE Tales Storytelling sessions, Tech Toys workshops and more!

  • STEMIE Tales Storytelling is an interactive storytelling session where children will participate in the story and help the characters live happily ever after through problem solving activities. 
  • At the Tech Toys workshops, children are introduced to Kubo and LEGO Robotics where they will pick up fundamental coding and computational thinking concepts while having fun.
  • Badge Making workshops for children to create their very own badges to bring home for keepsake!

Parents can also visit the STEMIE Programme showcase where innovative products create by the Sparkletots children are exhibited!
