1. Discover EnlighTEN: Singapore Botanic Gardens’ First-Ever Light Show

Venue: Various spots across the Singapore Botanic Gardens

Experience the Singapore Botanic Gardens like never before at EnlighTEN, its first-ever light show happening nightly from 7.30 pm to 10 pm till 10 August 2025!
Wander through stunning illuminated installations set to orchestral music by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and catch highlights such as First Light at Tanglin Gate, the dazzling Rain Tree Radiance at the Bandstand, and the dreamy Canopy of Wonder at Palm Court. Don’t miss A Garden’s Reflection, a six-minute light show at Swan Lake screened every 20 minutes.
As part of SG60 celebrations, the Gardens’ Heritage Festival also offers 40+ free activities for families, including live performances, outdoor movies, guided tours, and a fun Discovery Passport activity.

2. Catch SPARK: A Free Immersive Light Installation at Gardens by the Bay

- 3 Aug 2025: 9pm to 11pm

Catch SPARK, an awe-inspiring light installation by acclaimed Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde, as it makes its Southeast Asian debut at Gardens by the Bay! For four nights only, the Supertree Grove Lawn will come alive with thousands of floating light sparks drifting silently with the wind—an ethereal experience inspired by fireflies and starlit skies.
Previously showcased in cities like London, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Auckland, SPARK reimagines fireworks in a sustainable, poetic form. The installation is part of Gardens by the Bay’s National Day celebrations and commemorates 60 years of Netherlands-Singapore ties.

3. Try 30+ Sports for Free at Decathlon Sports Fest

Venue: Decathlon Singapore Lab, Kallang
Date: 2 to 3 Aug 2025
Time: 9am to 7pm

Join the Decathlon Sports Fest on 2 to 3 August 2025 at Decathlon Singapore Lab, Kallang, for Singapore’s biggest free sports festival!
Families can try over 30 exciting sports, from Football, Basketball, Zumba, and Muay Thai to unique activities like Pony Riding, Pickleball, Archery, Scuba Diving demos, and Dragon Boat—with all equipment provided. 4. Get Creative at PLAY + MAKE: Explore Food Heritage Through Fun

Venue: Children’s Museum Singapore (23-B Coleman Street)
Date: 20 Jul 2025 to 31 Mar 2026
Time: Opening hours follow the museum’s daily schedule
Fee: Included with museum entry (charges may apply for selected workshops)
Bring the kids to PLAY + MAKE at the Children’s Museum Singapore and celebrate Singapore’s food heritage through play and creativity!
Running from 20 July 2025 to 31 March 2026, this vibrant maker’s space features hands-on activities like designing outfits, crafting kueh for a pretend tea party, decorating crockery, and weaving traditional patterns. Don’t miss the Maker’s Cabinet, showcasing unique creations such as a durian-inspired dress, Nasi Lemak-themed shoes, and a LEGO tingkat.
Families can also enjoy seasonal craft themes, free storytelling sessions, and special workshops, including mooncake-making and sauce discovery tours. Plus, look out for the travelling exhibition at libraries islandwide from August 2025 to January 2026. 5. Join the Ranger Buddies on a Wild Family Adventure at Geneo

Head to Geneo @ Science Park Drive for a free family adventure at SG60: A Wild Celebration, happening from 24 July to 24 August 2025!
Perfect for kids aged 4–10, this event blends hands-on fun, digital challenges, and nature discovery.
