Looking for a meaningful family outing? The SG60 Heart&Soul Experience: Where Home Will Always Be is a free, immersive journey into Singapore’s past, present, and future — and it’s perfect for kids and parents alike.

Created by the team behind The Bicentennial Experience and Future of Us, this SG60 flagship celebration uses immersive storytelling and generative AI to offer a personalised glimpse of tomorrow’s Singapore. Families can choose between two experiences: the ticketed journey at Orchard Library (Levels 3 & 4), a 60–90 minute adventure recommended for ages 7 and up, where highlights include chatting with a digital librarian, exploring the Wheels of Time, stepping into the stunning multi-sensorial Windows in the Sky, and even sending a voice message to your future self; or the non-ticketed installations at Level 1 Atria of Orchard Central and orchardgateway, where little ones will love colourised archival films, AI-powered photobooths, and the Windows of Time pledge wall that raises funds for charity.

Running from 26 August to 31 December 2025, admission is free, but pre-bookings are required for the ticketed experience. For more details, check out our write-up here.

This August, families can immerse themselves in stories of heritage and community at All Things Singapore 2025, organised by the National Library Board (NLB) as part of the Singapore Night Festival.
Held from 22 August to 6 September 2025, the festival marks both NLB’s 30th anniversary and Singapore’s 60th birthday, with the theme Island Nights inviting visitors to rediscover what it means to be islanders through arts, performances, and installations. Highlights include The Puppet Stage at the National Archives, where kids and parents can admire handcrafted glove puppets and even interact with characters from Journey to the West, and the Latex Lobby at the National Library Plaza, a surreal installation that reimagines Singapore’s rubber trade with sound, ceramics, and shadow play. Families can also look forward to Nila’s Shimmering Shores pop-up storytelling sessions, street dance showcases, trivia nights, and hands-on workshops celebrating island heritage.
Admission is free — a perfect family-friendly way to celebrate Singapore’s past, present, and future together. For more information, check out our write-up here.
