3. Catch the Orionid Meteor Shower with Your Kids This 21 & 22 October!

Turn your next family night into a cosmic adventure! The Orionid Meteor Shower, one of the most dazzling annual sky shows, will peak between 21 and 22 October 2025 — offering a chance to spot up to 20 “shooting stars” an hour.
Formed from debris left behind by Halley’s Comet, these bright streaks of light can often leave glowing trails across the night sky. The best time to catch them? Between midnight and dawn, especially after 2 am, when the Orion constellation is higher and visibility improves.
You won’t need any special gear — just find a dark, open spot away from city lights (think parks, beaches, or reservoirs), bring along some blankets and snacks, and enjoy a magical night under the stars with your kids.
It’s a wonderful, educational way to spark their curiosity about space — and make some unforgettable family memories!
