Over 300 new tourism establishments and lifestyle venues have been added as PokéStops and Gyms for players to capture Pokemons and to explore precincts, discover hidden gems, and support local business!

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) teams up with American AR technology company, Niantic, to showcase tourism offerings and encourage precinct exploration with the popular smartphone game, Pokémon GO.

Over 300 new PokéStops and Gyms have been added to tourist establishments across the island, including hotels, retailers, local attractions and food and beverage outlets. They are also located at tour ticketing stations in 10 areas, including Changi, Chinatown, Joo Chiat and Mandai.

The one-year partnership is part of the SingapoRediscovers campaign launched in July to support local businesses.

Reasons To Go Catch and Explore 'em All

1. Catch Rare Pokemons at Raids

Pokemon GO Players can expect special raids with "rare Pokemon" scheduled in these Gym, we heard that these will be 5-star raids! Stay tune to STB's social media pages for more details!

2. Enjoy Exclusive SingapoRediscover Promotions

To promote local tourism and encourage discovery of local businesses, these PokeStop and Gyms, will have an in-app banner for the SingapoRediscovers campaign that will direct players to a microsite to see the promotions available at these venues.

3. Spend Your SingapoRediscover Vouchers

Singapore Citizens will be able to redeem your $100 SingapoRediscover vouchers from 1 Dec 2020, and this tie-up will be an excuse to head out and spend your vouchers at approved-venues!

So for all the Pokemon GO hunters, time to head out to capture your next prized Pokemon (while supporting the local tourism industry)!
