Mark your calendar for Saturday, 28 June 2025, and head to Goodman Arts Centre for the Goodman Open House 2025 — a vibrant, all-day celebration where Arts Meet Play. This year’s Open House invites everyone from curious families to seasoned art lovers to immerse in a world of imaginative experiences.

Step Into Artists’ Studios and Make Your Own Art

Let your creativity run wild at Colours Under the Sun, a vibrant outdoor art activity waiting for you at the Block O open field. You'll get your own art sheet to guide you through three interactive booths, where you can explore fun art-making techniques and create something uniquely yours. Try your hand at straw painting, finger painting, stamp making, or just go freestyle — it’s a joyful way to dive into the magic of imagination through art.

Across the centre, artist-tenants will open their studio doors to welcome visitors into their creative sanctuaries. These Open Studios offer a rare glimpse into how art is conceived, explored, and crafted, unfolding stories of experimentation, discipline, and inspiration across disciplines from visual to performing arts.

Discover Live Performances Made for Families

Goodman Open House isn’t just about looking at art — it’s about living it. If you have kids aged 4 to 7, let them dance their hearts out and explore Indian rhythms in Let’s Dance! An Indian Dance Adventure for Little Movers by Apsaras Arts Ltd, an engaging and playful introduction to classical Indian dance. Through storytelling, music, and creative movement games, young participants will get to dance like animals, tell stories with their hands, and feel the joy of moving to vibrant Indian beats.

Or take a seat for The Man Who Planted Trees, by Paper Monkey Theatre Ltd. This beautifully crafted puppetry performance weaves Asian values into a heartwarming tale of hope, unity, and community. Stay on to contribute to Beats & Doodles: A Communal Composition, a participatory experience by Cherry Chan and Brilliant Corners Club.

Look Forward to Threadlines: A Community Mural

Do not miss the unveiling of Threadlines, a community-led mural collaboration between AHL, DPLMT, and the seniors of Mountbatten Art Club. Inspired by cross-stitching motifs, this artwork threads stories, generations, and artistic voices together. It offers a deeply personal expression of what it means to create together.

Shop, Snack, and Be Inspired at the Outdoor Markets

Explore not one but two family-friendly markets! You may start the day at the Mighty Makers Creators Market, where local makers, artists and designers come together in a buzzing hub of experience zones and interactive craft booths at Block O. Over at Block C, the Nature-Inspired Eco Market by Plantitude features a curated mix of eco-conscious brands and local farmers, from handmade skincare to botanical art and zero-waste treats.

Feeling hungry? Recharge with flavourful, Asian-inspired bites at That Hot Dog Stand, featuring gourmet hot dogs and loaded nachos served with a twist. Before the day ends, don’t miss A Little Bead of Work by Kray Chen, a whimsical installation of glow-in-the-dark alphabet beads in planter beds. Visitors are invited to form words and string bracelets, interact with language, and form in playful ways.

End the Day With a Movie Under the Stars

After a day of making, exploring, and connecting, wind down together at the Outdoor Cinema with a screening of Transformers One. Bring a mat, some snacks, and enjoy a family movie night like no other — surrounded by twinkling lights and a community that loves art as much as you do.
