Goodman Arts Centre opens its doors once again for a meaningful and fun-filled day of programmes and activities for families ranging across a variety of art forms such as music, dance and visual arts. Showcasing the unique talents of artists at Singapore’s largest arts enclave while engaging families through the arts, this year’s Open House presents an eclectic array of programmes.
For this year’s edition, the Open House programme has partnered long-term GAC tenant, Kamini Ramachandran, Director of Moonshadow Stories and The Storytelling Centre Ltd, as Guest Artistic Director to conceptualise this year’s programmes.
All-Day Activities, Performances & Workshops
Kamini’s programming focuses on audience participation as a way of introducing various art forms to families. Expect garden trails, live painting demonstrations and storytelling sessions that activate different outdoor pockets of the enclave. Thereafter, join in with dancers and musicians and wind down with a sound bath.
Step into artists’ studios for personal viewing and sharing sessions with the artists.
The festivities culminate with a Tenants Parade in celebration of the artists, where participants are invited to showcase their special creations from the day’s exciting workshops and activities.
