Marina Square Celebrates Earth Day this April with Eco-Friendly Workshop, Educational Green Zones, and Eco-themed gifts!

This April, Marina Square invites all shoppers to celebrate Earth Day in a holistic, inclusive manner by shopping, dining, and having fun at the mall. Through organizing the "Shaping A Greener World Program" from 15 April to 12 May 2024, Marina Square aims to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage individuals to adopt more eco-friendly habits. Families can participate in a terrarium making workshop, explore the educational Green Zones with their children and enjoy gifts redemption.

Make a Mini-Ecosystem at Love in a Bottle’s Terrarium Workshop

Celebrate the lush greenery of our planet by making an adorable jar-sized ecosystem to bring home! Keep those old jars on hand and join Love in a Bottle at their terrarium-making workshop. Shoppers can join the workshop by forming an adult & child team and bringing their own 800ml jar with a cover, at $20 per team, or top-up an additional $10 to purchase a jar in store.

Each team will be provided with materials to create their own self-sustaining ecosystem, including their choice of 2-3 adorable figurines for free! Upon completion of the workshop, each team will also receive a bamboo fibre mug to take home with them. 

Interested parties may sign up for the workshop at the Marina Square Customer Service Counter. Seats are limited and are on a first-come-first-served basis.

Redeem a Disney-themed eco-bag and enjoy discounts on Disney merchandise

Go Green at Marina Square Foyers

Feel inspired at the Green Zone as the Marina Foyer spaces are transformed into a green haven showcasing its various retailers with sustainability initiatives. Visitors are invited to learn more about the participating retailers’ eco-friendly programs and view energy and water efficient household appliances and products. 

Climate vouchers that will be issued to every HDB household for water and energy efficient product purchases can also be used to purchase eligible products at Gain City’s green section.

Earth Day Activities & Pledge for Kids

By pledging to reuse, reduce, and recycle with Marina Square’s Go Green Program on 20 and 21 Apr 2024, the first 150 kids who show a photo taken at the pledge zone to Marina Square’s Customer Service Officers will be rewarded with an achievement treat: a crispy, chewy and chunky Nasty Cookie worth $5.80!
