Chingay Parade 2025 celebrates Singapore's 60th birthday with a dazzling display of "JOY" that will captivate the whole family! Beyond the main parade happening at the F1 Pit Building, families can also look forward to more ways to join in the celebrations!
Chingay: A Feast for the Senses (and Little Ones!)
Chingay is an annual street parade showcasing Singapore's rich multicultural heritage. Think colourful floats, energetic dances, amazing costumes, and a lively atmosphere that's perfect for children! This year, the theme is "JOY," and the parade promises a fun-filled experience for everyone.
Where and When to Experience the Magic
The main Chingay Parade happens on 7th and 8th February 2025 at the F1 Pit Building, starting at 8 pm. Tickets are sold out, but don't worry – the fun doesn't stop there!
Fun for Everyone, Tickets or Not!
While tickets to the main parade might be gone, there are still plenty of ways for families with young children to enjoy the Chingay spirit:
- Free Admission Areas: Head down to the free-standing area along the parade route to catch the amazing floats and performances. Little ones will be thrilled to see the colourful spectacle. Come early to explore the PAssionArts Street that opens at 6 pm each day, featuring art installations co-created by residents and students.
- Watch the Parade via Livestream: Families can also catch the happenings on Day 1 of the Parade (7 Feb), via livestream from chingay.gov.sg and Chingay Parade SG Facebook page.
- Chingay@Heartlands: From 9 Feb to 2 Mar 2025, Chingay comes to you! With events in 8 locations across Singapore, Chingay@Heartlands offers a range of family-friendly activities and performances.

Chingay will bring the festivities to 8 heartland locations across Singapore with Chingay@Heartlands. Each heartland will feature a spectacular display of floats and lively performances, allowing children to get up close to the Chingay magic and for families to enjoy the Chingay spirit right in their neighbourhoods.

What to Expect at Chingay Parade 2025
This year's Chingay Parade features six exciting acts with a special focus on food! Imagine giant food-inspired floats, performers dressed as your favourite dishes, and a vibrant celebration of Singapore's culinary culture.
Key highlights to this year's festival includes,
- A Roaring Overture: 60 multi-ethnic drummers and lion dancers will kick off the parade with a burst of energy, followed by a vibrant Chinese New Year celebration with dragon dances, pole flags, stilt walkers, and inflatable lions and puppets.
- Food Fantasy: 200 performers will bring 20 different national food icons to life, waltzing to festive tunes in a delicious display of culinary culture.
- Community Spirit: Be wowed as over 300 community performers from all walks of life, alongside the first-ever district-level float and 14 community floats, take centre stage in a reflection of Singapore’s collective spirit.
- SG60 Celebration: The parade will culminate in a magnificent tribute to Singapore's 60th birthday, featuring a breathtaking performance by more than 2,000 returning performers and the futuristic SG60-inspired float, showcasing unity, community, and national pride.
- Immersive Experience: This year's parade boasts a new immersive layout, bringing audiences closer to the action. Adding to the spectacle are large-scale performances by over 4,000 performers and a dynamic new four-level stage, creating a truly immersive and memorable event.
