Organised by the National Arts Council (NAC), the 13th edition of Arts in Your Neighbourhood (AYN) returns with over 45 specially curated family-friendly programmes taking place at 13 locations across three weekends from 7 to 24 November 2019.
AYN 2019 Town Focus: Punggol
50% of AYN's programmes will be inspired by this year's town focus, Punggol!
Did you know: Punggol was once a village with poultry, pig and vegetable farms and is now Singapore’s youngest population with the highest proportion of families with children under the age of five.

A Rainbow Oddesey

Curated as a Two-Act experience, A Rainbow Odyssey is an adventure of discovery of lost stories and histories of our local towns for our young friends and their families. Act 1: Dottie's Adventures is an intimate interactive game experience while Act Two: Dottie & Friends is a delightful theatrical performance for one and all.
Act 2: Dottie & Friends (Punggol Oasis Terraces)
Come join in the adventures of Dottie and her friends as they come together in search of Dottie’s missing polka dots! Combining delightful props, live performance, music and movement, this is a theatrical performance for all to enjoy.

Explore the world of dreams and the transition from waking up to falling asleep in this theatrical vertical dance featuring nine beds piled on top of one another. This programme is held in collaboration with the French Embassy and Institut Francais, in conjunction with Voilah! Festival.

Jazz for Kids – Hello Humpty! is an interactive music performance that introduces our little ones to the wonderful world of jazz music. Audiences are exposed to rich harmonies and exciting rhythms while learning simple lessons about life in this 45-minute programme presented by a live jazz band.

Fun with Music – A Trip to the Zoo! is an original work that introduces wind instruments in a fun and interactive way!
The performance centers around an adaptation of a story about a family’s trip to the zoo, where an orchestra performs. The child falls asleep, and is transported to an imaginary world of animals.
The Philharmonic Winds has selected a series of orchestral pieces related to different animals, while weaving into the performance an introduction to various wind instruments.
