Mount Faber Leisure Group’s highly anticipated new attraction, SkyHelix Sentosa, will open on 15 December 2021, and it literally brings a whole new level of seeing the island!

Located within the collection of attractions at Imbiah Lookout, the vertical 40- metre-tall helix-like structure is a short stroll from the Singapore Cable Car’s Sentosa station. If you are thinking of visiting, here's what you can expect!

Rise Up 79m Above Sea Level

For each “flight”, guests are safely seated in an open-air gondola, which gently rotates as it ascends 35 metres above ground to a height of 79 metres above sea level, making SkyHelix Sentosa one of the highest vantage points on the island.

Each ride is approximately 12 minutes in total, including 10 minutes where you will be rotating at the peak.

Enjoy A Drink While In the Air

During the ascent, rotation and descent, guests can enjoy unrivalled views while enjoying a drink. The attraction will also offer alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at the open-air snack bar as well as snacks too.

While you will probably be busy taking pictures when you have ascended to the top of the SkyHelix, the drinks will be useful in the queue.

Note that only food and drinks purchased at the SkyHelix Snack Bar may be allowed onto the ride.

Enjoy a 360° View Of Sentosa

Guests can experience the sensation of flying with the wind in their hair and feet dangling in the air and capturing picture-perfect moments on camera. SkyHelix Sentosa offers an unparalleled and breathtaking 360° views stretching from Sentosa to the Keppel Bay area and the developing Greater Southern Waterfront.

*BYKidO Tip: We recommend not wearing dresses or skirts, and to tie up your hair as the wind can get quite strong above. Shoes are also preferred to slippers or sandals (in case they drop off)!

Day & Night Views

The attraction offers a different view of Sentosa when you ride in the morning or night!  The beauty of the SkyHelix Sentosa structure also visibly transforms from day to night. After sundown, energy-efficient LED lights illuminate the attraction, making it a beacon of light on Sentosa and a stunning new addition to the Singapore skyline.

Height Requirements

Do note that guests under 1.05m in height may not ride. Those between 1.05m to 1.2m in height or under 12 years old must be accompanied by a supervising adult.

Sustainability

SkyHelix Sentosa’s energy-efficient design utilises minimal electricity for its operations. Environmentally-friendly packaging will be used for food and beverage.

Through the launch of this attraction, Mount Faber Leisure Group seeks to contribute to Singapore’s vision of becoming a top sustainable urban destination by developing unique, engaging and sustainable leisure experiences around Singapore’s stunning views and beautiful nature.

Safety

The SkyHelix Sentosa structure is designed and constructed by French company Aerophile, a leading expert on high-point attractions. The gondola is completely powered by three electrical winches that are managed on-ground. Safety measures in place include an electronic safety mechanism to ensure guests are properly secured, emergency brakes, and power supply systems.

As an added safety measure, an attraction host will accompany guests on the ride to ensure safety protocols are followed, while introducing the surrounding views and key landmarks as the gondola gently ascends.

Ticket Pricing

Tickets for SkyHelix Sentosa are priced at $18 for adults and $15 for children between the ages of four and 12. Each ticket will be bundled with a choice of one standard non-alcoholic beverage or an exclusive SkyHelix Sentosa souvenir. Alcoholic beverages and snacks subject to additional pricing.

Guests may reserve their visit date and time slot when purchasing tickets. Members of Mount Faber Leisure Group’s Faber Licence annual membership programme will enjoy a 20% discount on tickets year round. You may also wish to check KKday for promotional prices!
