When we saw this giant rooster playground online, we knew we had to pay it a visit. And boy oh boy, were we surprised — because it’s just next to a massive treehouse playground too! More on that later.

Nestled in the Bukit Batok side of Tengah, the two playgrounds are located in the Parc Flora estate.

Ready to explore?

Climb up into its belly via a small rock climbing wall, a ladder, or a climbing net. If you have little ones who are practising their climbing skills, this is a great place to start with low heights and gentle gradients.

Inside, you’ll find another small rock climbing wall. Get to the top, where you can peer out through its eyes at the playground below. There’s a little platform that’s just nice for taking a break too. There’s no other way out: to get out, you’ll have to climb back down once more.

Grab a sip of water at a small bench huddled under the rooster’s wing. Ring the little silver bell once you’re done to signal that you’re ready to get back into play!

The play equipment here is nicely spread out, with swings, a trampoline, interactive boards, a small slide, and more.

But wait, what’s that over there?

Look up, and you’ll see a triangular-shaped structure popping up. Make your way up to a humongous treehouse playground, which is just a few minutes’ walk away.

After that initial climbing practice, here’s where your kids can really test their skills. Clamber up the likes of suspended nets and climbing frames. Our daughter had a blast trying the different options — multiple times, might we add!

Get from tower to tower via two bridges. The upper bridge poses more of a challenge, consisting of a netted flooring. Don’t worry about your kids falling through, as there’s a finer mesh below the larger net.

Then comes the show-stopping tunnel slide, which twists and turns before it opens out to the ground. A word of caution: the slide is entirely enclosed and is dark, and might not sit well for kids who are too young.

Even if your kids choose not to go down the tunnel slide, they don’t have to miss out on the fun — as there’s another open and less daunting slide for them to whiz down!

What to bring

We recommend visiting in the early morning or evening, as the two playgrounds are entirely unsheltered. Otherwise, sunscreen and a big bottle of water are a must! We didn’t get any mosquito bites this time round, but some repellent patches might come in handy.

Our experience

Our favourite part about these two playgrounds? They're located right next to the Tengah bus interchange! This means that there are toilets within easy reach (a rare find for most playgrounds). There’s also a minimart where you can refuel with drinks and snacks.

Our daughter spent most of her time at the bigger treehouse playground, but we like how the two playgrounds cater to different age groups.

Location

On top of the bus interchange, the playgrounds are right next to a multi-storey carpark located at Block 325. Talk about convenience!
