Here's a fresh new play venue that will captivate both kids and parents alike – Nekoland by The Polliwogs, located in the vibrant Clarke Quay Central. Here, you can enjoy the excitement of active play with the joy of interacting with adorable felines, creating a one-of-a-kind experience.
Do note that the indoor playground and the Cat Interaction Zone are 2 separate areas that requires a separate admission.
Cat Interaction Zone
You will notice the Cat Interaction Zone from the outside of the space. It is a small engaging space that allows families to bond with the resident cats. There are 7 resident cats when we visited in Sep 2024 and we understand a couple more will be joining them soon.
The space is welcoming and great for little ones to interact with the cats. Before entering the space, you will be asked to wash your hands and also be given a list of dos and don'ts when interacting with the cats. Only 8 pax are allowed each session to avoid stressing the cats.
We were guided by a very knowledgeable staff who shared her experience with the cats and even shared with us the cats' different personalities. The kids definitely had fun petting, stroking and even using the toys to play with the cats. You will also be taking lots of photos as your kids interact with these cute felines.
and sometimes, they just want to be left alone. We should respect that too!
Each session is 30 mins, which in our opinion is quite short for first-timers, especially if you have little ones who are hesitant at first and may only warm up when the session is almost over. If this happens, you may wish to book a return visit.
TIPS: it was shared that the best times to visit are in the morning or evening slots when the cats are most active.
Adopting Space
We also understand that there will be a adopting space in the future where potential cat owners can learn more about responsible cat adoption, care and ownership, and potentially adopt a cat from the space too.
Indoor Playground
The playground offers many fun zones like the Mirror Maze, Bouncy Trampolines, Ball Pits and more. There’s plenty to keep everyone entertained, from interactive climbing structures and slides to creative arts and crafts stations.
There's even a toddlers area for younger ones to enjoy themselves safely too. It includes their own slides, ballpit and also an interesting pedal-powered merry-go-round!
Overall, the playground is relatively simple and had an effective layout that makes it feel larger than it actually is, allowing kids to run around and enjoy the various play elements without getting bored too easily.
In fact, we would say the 2-storey structure is quite maze-like, giving kids a great space to play catch or hide-and-seek with lots of places to run and hide!
We would suggest this for younger ones from toddlers to lower-primary kids.
There's also a party room, but we were unable to enter it. From the outside, we loved that it oversaw the Singapore River and provided a great view.
Cafe
Parents will be pleased to know that there is a cosy cafe with seating areas for you to relax and watch the kids. The playground's layout also means that kids cannot run past you without being spotted too.
The Cafe offers a weekday lunch time bento set with a choice of main, side and drinks. You can also order sides on other days and times too.
