Get ready to glide at Ice Penguin, a new synthetic ice rink and winter sports hub opening at Clarke Quay Central this March.

Venue: Clarke Quay Central, Level 4, Blue Zone
Opening Hours: TBC
Admission: TBC
If your little ones have been begging to try ice skating, Ice Penguin is about to become your new favourite weekend haunt. Set to open in early March 2026, this dedicated skating and training ground is designed specifically to help beginners of all ages find their balance in a supportive, winter-inspired environment.
Spanning nearly 5,000 sqft, the facility offers a controlled space where the focus is on building confidence before moving on to more advanced manoeuvres.
Synthetic Ice: The Perfect Start for Kids

The centrepiece of the venue is a 1,000 sqft synthetic ice rink. For parents, synthetic ice is a game-changer; it provides a similar glide to real ice but is generally more forgiving for first-timers. Itβs an ideal "Foundations First" environment where children and adults can learn to skate, play ice hockey, or even try figure skating.
More Than Just Skating: Ski and Snowboard Simulators

Ice Penguin is positioning itself as a comprehensive winter sports hub. Beyond the rink, the venue features:
- Ski Simulators: Perfect for getting those "ski legs" ready before your next family holiday.
- Snowboard Simulators: A safe way for teens and adults to practise their balance and carving.
- VR Simulation Work: High-tech training tools are used to help skaters refine their movements and spatial awareness.
Structured Coaching for All Levels

Whether you have a kid taking their very first steps on skates or a teen looking to join a hockey team, Ice Penguin will be offering structured coaching programmes. These sessions will run across both weekdays and weekends, covering:
- Basic Ice Skating: Focusing on balance, posture, and safety.
- Ice Hockey: Building a community for players to train and grow.
-
Figure Skating: Dedicated coaching for those looking to add some flair to their glide.
BYKidO Pro-Tip: since the rink is synthetic, you won't need to bundle the kids up in heavy winter coats! However, we recommend wearing long trousers and tall socks to prevent any friction from the skates or the rink surface during those inevitable "learning falls."
