June School Holiday 2021 was made more fun and interesting for Zemily. MuzArt Singapore conducted online workshops for children and also adults even during the Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) period in Singapore.
One of the workshops that MuzArt prepared is the Resin Floral Coaster. Zemily was fascinated by how beautiful and artistic her coaster turned out to be. She enjoyed every step of how to create it and showed interest by deciding on which decoration to place on her coaster. She listened and watched her teacher carefully during the online workshop session.
Each participant was given a Resin Art Kit which includes the following:
- 1 coaster
- 1 bottle of UV LED resin
- Dried flowers and leaves
- Toothpicks
- Sandpaper
- Portable UV LED light
Instructions were provided by the teachers from MuzArt during the Zoom online session.
Through this workshop, Zemily was able to explore a different medium in creating a craft, she learned about resin, how to solidify it coming from a liquid state using a UV LED light. She improved on her creativity when she added the dried flowers and leaves to decorate her resin floral coaster.
She enjoyed making her coaster using resin and she loved the outcome of it. Although holiday trips and dining out were not possible during this school holiday, Zemily learned, explored and enjoyed doing art and craft at the comfort of our own home.
