250 ml semi-skimmed milk
250 ml whipping cream
80 g dark cooking chocolate (at least 55% cocoa)
1 whole egg
1 egg yolk
70 g caster sugar
Heat the cream and add the chocolate.
Mix the chocolate into the cream with a whisk.
Mix the eggs and sugar together. Beat until creamy, foamy and pale.
Add the chocolate mixture and stir.
Add the milk.
Spoon into glass jars or a large dish.
Chill for at least 2 hrs before serving.
