Favoured for its cooling weather, Cingjng is popular with families for its scenic views and European-inspired attractions. Here are 5 places to visit when planning your travel itinerary.
1. Green Green Grasslands at Qingjing Farm
Location: No.170, Renhe Rd., Ren’ai Township, Nantou County 546, Taiwan (R.O.C.)

Almost like visiting farm stays in Australia, the vast green pastures at Green Green Grasslands offer a breath-taking sense of zen for cosmopolitan families. Kids would enjoy the air-conditioned-like weather in the Cingjing highlands while watching ‘live’ sheep shearing. Stay to see how the sheepdog rounds up his herd of sheep as they go “Baa Baa”, and let your kids get up close with other farm animals too.
2. The Old England Manor
Location: No.20-2, Shouting Ln., Ren’ai Township, Nantou County 546, Taiwan (R.O.C.)

3. Little Swiss Garden
Location: No.65, Xiezhong St., Xinshe Dist., Taichung City 426, Taiwan (R.O.C.)

If you’re visiting Little Swiss Garden, you will also find Carton King Creativity Park, 7-11, Starbucks in the same vicinity. Known as Taiwan’s “Little Switzerland” and “Paradise in the Mist”, this iconic garden is home to beautiful flowers – both real and artificial LED ones. By day, colourful blooms delight with cheery sights of nature; by night, the fountains light up to brighten up the dark sky.
4. Carton King Creativity Park
Location: No.28, Dingyuan Vil., Ren’ai Township, Nantou County 546, Taiwan (R.O.C.)
Hour: 9 am – 9 pm
Admission: Free to visit, restaurant dining available
Step into Carton King in Cingjing and you will be blown away by the number of corrugated paper products in this shop. Tote bags, tabletop fish aquarium, rocking horses… you’ll be surprised! Apart from ooh-ing away at the imaginative creations, your kids will also discover the endless possibility of paper. If you’re visiting Taichung, do check out the Carton King store there as it’s bigger than this branch.
5. Guanyin Waterfall
Location: Puwu Rd., Puli Township, Nantou County, Taiwan (R.O.C.)
Despite bearing damages from the 921 Earthquake, Guanyin Waterfall remains a popular tourist attraction to visit when families arrive at Cingjing. There are two parts to the Guanyin Waterfall – inner waterfall and outer waterfall. Take in a deep breath of fresh air filled with nature’s ions and enjoy the magnificent sight of the 60-meter waterfall, and smaller ones along the trail.
