“Ms. Marvel” debuts exclusively on Disney+ from 8 June, 2022.

Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero megafan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel.

Who Is Ms. Marvel

“Ms. Marvel” is one of Marvel Comics’ most successful newer properties. Kamala Khan is 16-year-old Pakistani-American girl growing up in Jersey City. She’s a nerd, a gamer who writes fan fiction and most of all a huge fan of the Avengers, particularly Captain Marvel, who is her hero (as you can tell from her attire).

She is just like every relatable teenage girl, her life circles around friends, boys, family, school - until one day, she is suddenly imbued with powers and that's when she needs to discover herself, her relationship with her loved ones and to figure out her path forward.

No Tech No Armour - Just Another Superhero

Ms. Marvel is currently in its 7th print run and becoming one of Marvel’s top selling collections. Although she doesn't have any fancy tech or armor, she is highly relatable to the readers as just a teenager from Jersey City trying to figure the world out when she suddenly finds herself a superhero!

Just like many kids who pretend-play or who have asked themselves "if I can have a superpower - what would it be", Kamala Khan is this passionate, creative high-school kid who just wants to find simplicity in her life through the fantastical world of the Avengers. When she gets powers for the first time, you root for her because you can see that excitement and that fascination in her eyes. That’s what makes the character so universal and relatable.

Steaming On Disney+

Where will the story head towards? Will she figure it all out? Find out as Ms. Marvel comes to Disney+ from 8 June 2022! Catch Marvel Studios' first Muslim superhero in action, and follow her on her journey of self-discovery.
