Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again is an action-packed, fun-filled look at the mischief that takes place at the American Museum of Natural History when the sun goes down.

In 2006, 20th Century Fox released a film based on the popular children’s book The Night at the Museum by Milan Trenc. Now, Disney+ presents “Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again,” an all-new animated adventure based on the popular film franchise, an action-packed, fun-filled look at the mischief that takes place every night at the American Museum of Natural History when the sun goes down.

The Story

A night watchman job at New York’s American Museum of Natural History is a challenging job for anyone, but high school student Nick Daley is following in his father’s footsteps and is determined not to let him down. Working at the museum turned his dad Larry’s life around, and this new summer gig may be just what Nick needs to get him to focus and get serious about his post-high school plans.

Luckily, Nick is familiar with the museum’s ancient tablet that brings all the exhibits to life when the sun goes down, so he is happy to see his old friends, including Jedediah, Octavius, and Sacagawea, when he arrives. But the evil, maniacal ruler Kahmunrah has plans to rule the world, and escapes, setting out to unlock the Egyptian underworld and free its Army of the Dead.

Back at school, Nick is clumsy and doesn’t have a lot of friends, but inside the museum, he is completely focused on his job and empowered by the support of his friends who reside there. Now, it is up to Nick to stop the demented overlord and save the museum, proving that heroes can, in fact, come in all ages.
