Guppy Glow: Lights of Harmony – Outdoor Lantern Installation

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and Singapore’s 60th birthday with Guppy Glow: Lights of Harmony, a captivating lantern installation that brings together tradition, nostalgia, and national pride. Inspired by the colourful and lively guppy, the installation symbolises vibrancy, adaptability, and unity in diversity which are values at the heart of Singapore’s identity.
For generations, the guppy fish has been a familiar sight in homes, community ponds, and childhood memories. Its dazzling variety of colours reflects our nation’s multicultural harmony, while its agility mirrors Singapore’s dynamic spirit over 60 years of progress.
The SCCCI will also be adorned with colourful lanterns, complementing the guppy lantern installation and adding to the festive Mid-Autumn atmosphere. The installation will be on display at the SCCCI’s outdoor landscape from 22 September to 9 October 2025, from 10am to 6pm daily, and extended hours till 9pm on 27 & 28 September 2025.
Mid-Autumn Creative Marketplace (Curated by Adamsapple)

Moonlit Melodies, Heartfelt Harmonies – Live Music Performance

Relax to the heartfelt acoustic tunes of Jenix Ee (27 Sep, 4.30pm), be swept away by the dynamic multilingual harmonies of Little Band Plus (27 Sep, 7.30pm & 28 Sep, 4.30pm), and enjoy the evening on a soulful note with Jurine Chia (28 Sep, 7.30pm).
From vibrant afternoon vibes to moonlit melodies, the line-up promises something for everyone, perfect for unwinding with friends, celebrating local artistry, and soaking up the festive Mid-Autumn atmosphere with your loved ones.
Celestial Melodies and Motion – Chinese Music and Dance Performance (Supported by Gildon & Ensemble and Wu Juan)

Presented by music collective Gildon & Ensemble and dance collective Wu Juan, this 30-minute segment showcases the beauty of Chinese music and dance, celebrating the richness of tradition and artistry.
The highlight of the programme is a music and dance piece with music adapted from the ancient pipa classic The Moon High Above. The piece draws inspiration from the legendary tale of Emperor Tang’s visit to the Moon Palace, expressed through graceful dance and live ensemble music.

Lantern Riddles Guessing (Supported by Riddle Association (Singapore)

Learn tips for solving Chinese lantern riddles with Riddle Masters this Mid-Autumn Festival. Join the Riddle Association as they conduct a traditional riddle solving session at the SCCCI outdoor landscape, and stand a chance to win exclusive Wan Qing Yuan’s merchandise!
Storytelling Sessions: Tales of Mid-Autumn Festival (Supported by Speak Good English Movement and Speak Mandarin Campaign)

Teochew Mooncake Sampling Booth by Thye Moh Chan

Tea Sampling by Camellia Tea Bar

Let’s Celebrate with Uncle Ting: Mid-Autumn Festival – Activity Booklet Giveaway

Join Uncle Ting to learn more about the legend of Chang’e and popular customs associated with this festival through a series of fun activities, including lantern making! “Mid-Autumn Festival: A Taste of Reunion” highlights the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival and its cultural significance on family reunion and kinship love, featuring information about the mooncake moulds and artisanal mooncake makers of Singapore in this travelling exhibition. Visitors can also pick up props available at the exhibition and snap some fun shots in the foyer.
Wan Qing Yuan: A Journey Through History and Heritage – Travelling Exhibition

This exhibition offers an opportunity to explore Wan Qing Yuan's role in history and its place within the broader context of the Balestier precinct's heritage. Visitors can also walk away with a multi-layered stamp print postcard of Wan Qing Yuan that they can create themselves!

For generations, Chinese restaurants have been at the heart of festive life in Singapore’s Chinese community. From joyous reunion dinners during Chinese New Year, to enjoying mooncakes under the Mid-Autumn moon, these gatherings keep traditions alive, and families connected. Join us At the Chinese Restaurants: Memories and Traditions, to discover objects from local Chinese restaurants that tell the story of Chinese culinary culture in Singapore.
