Time Traveller’s Pantry
Step back in time to uncover the secrets of food preservation before refrigerators! Children will get to explore clever preservation techniques like salting and fermentation, discovering how our ancestors kept meals fresh in the past as compared to modern-day practices.
Ready, Set, Sail!
Chart your course for two different boats! Families will get to launch a handcrafted boat to experience how people once sailed the seas, and to take the wheel of a speedy motorboat to feel the power of modern technology. Discover how innovation have transformed water travel throughout history.
Hello, Hello!
Before the age of cell phones, how did people communicate? Children will get to create their own cup phone and discover how people stay connected before modern technologies. By testing how sound travels through a string, uncover the fascinating science of sound vibration and compare past and present communication tools.
