What’s the Skatecross Downmall Challenge About

The Skatecross Downmall Challenge is a one-of-a-kind overnight inline skating race that transforms The Seletar Mall into a multi-level obstacle course. Taking place from 10pm to 6am, skaters race against the clock through ramps, tight turns, and technical sections—highlighted by a custom-built escalator slide that sends participants gliding down the mall.

Open to different skill levels, the challenge features multiple race categories, including specially tailored routes for younger participants aged 12 to 17. Blending speed, skill, and excitement, it’s a thrilling showcase that reimagines the mall as a dynamic playground after dark.

A Safe and Fun Skating Playground for All Ages

Families can head to the Level 1 Atrium where an open skating space welcomes both beginners and experienced skaters. No prior experience is needed, making it perfect for kids trying skating for the first time.

Young participants can join small-group sessions guided by experienced instructors, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. With skating gear available for rent on-site, it’s an easy, fuss-free activity for parents and kids alike—just show up and start rolling.

Exciting Junior Rollercross Race for Kids

On 9 May, children aged 4 to 12 can take part in the Junior Rollercross Race, specially designed to match different age groups and skill levels.

Kids can choose between:

• A fun obstacle course with ramps, turns, and playful challenges
• A 10-cone slalom course that tests balance and control

These activities not only build confidence but also encourage coordination and active play in an engaging and non-intimidating setting.
